Are you interested in the schools you’re targeting? Or just interested in getting recruited?
There’s a difference. And coaches can tell.
If every message feels copy/paste and every school is “your dream school,” it starts to feel more like desperation than genuine interest.
Do your research.
Watch their games.
Follow their social media.
Learn about the coaches, roster, culture, majors, and style of play.
When you actually know something about a program, your communication changes. Your questions get better. Your interest feels real.
Coaches don’t just want athletes who can play there.
They want athletes who actually WANT to be there.
