Nearly 400 asylum seekers living at the Citywest hotel in Dublin say they cannot find accommodation after being told they must leave this month
The government is winding down all state-contracted accommodation for Ukrainian refugees by next March. Those at the Citywest hotel in Dublin have been told they must leave this month because of the change in policy.
The minister said the government was also looking at long-term plans with the Ukrainian government to facilitate those who might want to go home.

Absolutely scandalous and downright unacceptable in today’s housing emergency where indigenous Irish families are struggling to get on the property ladder regardless of first time buyers or families applying for social housing. At this point we must question everything.
The Irish State’s Housing Agency offers a guide on how to apply for social housing translated into 24 different languages, including Arabic, Somali, Georgian, Albanian, and more. Essentially the Roderic O'Gorman "12 languages" tweets 2.0.

The @sinnfeinireland amendment to the Government’s proposal is defeated.
Their amendment was calling for no further tax increases on petrol and diesel while fuel prices remain high.
Speaking on RTÉ's Drivetime, Mr Doherty said his party will oppose fuel duty increases which will begin in November as supports are phased out.
"There is no way that Sinn Féin will stand by and allow that to happen when these fuels prices are increased," he said, noting that - once the temporary cuts have been removed - the price of diesel will increase by 34 cent a litre and petrol by 29 cent. @PearseDoherty
