Florida has adjusted its vendor contracts for Alligator Alcatraz by hundreds of millions of dollars since closing the site.
FDEM is now asking the state leg for an extra $188M for the emergency fund paying for these contracts to cover “pending invoices”

President Trump's ICE has taken advantage of the county's long standing IGSA contract to enforce his reckless mass deportation agenda, by throwing detainees, many without criminal records, into our jails before sending them to a detention center.
This agreement has not only hurt and created chaos for our immigrant community, but has overwhelmed local jails and it comes at the expense of FL taxpayers.
I urge Orange County to consider a new deal that limits ICE's access to our jails and protects the due process & rights of our immigrant neighbors.
