Budget chat:
One of the better parts of the budget, although I question how much money and support are there for issues that cause and maintain on the streets homelessness: addiction and mental health crises being the top two I can think of.
The biggest glaring hole in the budget though is raising the tax free allowance in line with inflation (and minimum wage).
Overall, a poor budget. Appeasing the middle-classes, and I fear for poorest as prices continue to rise.

Brighton Council has now amended its plans for the Withdean Pool to include single-sex changing cubicles (hopefully in separate areas, though unclear). Original mixed-sex design was unsafe for women and girls.

Women and girls don’t need to worry about their safety in mixed-sex facilities because of ‘cubicle design’ and ‘operational management’.
What the absolute fuck:
A doctor rapes a patient.
The victim reports it.
THE DOCTOR ADMITS IT.
He tells a hospital committee that it was a "one off" and he will not do it again.
THE MANAGEMENT SAYS THAT IS OK.
And allow him to carry on working.
THE POLICE TAKE NO ACTION.
The hospital concerned is the BLACKPOOL VICTORIA HOSPITAL.
The same hospital where a 75 year old patient was raped to death and no one was ever convicted for it.

This is a means to win over voters rather than helping the most vulnerable households.
£100 realistically isn't a lot for energy costs, but it makes us feel good. But for those who are actively choosing between food and heating, receiving a larger chunk would have done more.
