When your friend is so suspicious about this year’s Sexiest Man Alive that they start digging and uncover an entire conspiracy:
(Honestly @people should be ashamed and just award this “title” fairly because clearly everyone hates what they’re currently doing)

Best Nonfiction Book: Popcorn Disabilities
This was one of the last nominations I submitted and it means a lot. This was a labor of love that I had to promote entirely on my own. I worried no one would find it. The fact that it's now an award nominee.....wow.

In case you missed it: My WICKER review for @InRO!
'The gender roles ruling Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson’s Wicker are meant to be obvious — something the viewer immediately recognizes and knows as true to the world, even without the ability to discern an exact time or place. That foundation allows the real work to begin, and this sophomore feature reveals the filmmaking duo’s central preoccupation: relationships, and how they are shaped by and vulnerable to the outside world. The duo’s follow-up to 2020’s Save Yourselves! also confirms that their dark sense of humor and taste for the absurd isn’t something they’ll shy away from anytime soon. Wicker is, in a word, weird.' inreviewonline.com/2026/10/2…

Want to see a truly scary movie this Halloween? May I recommend Cristian Mungiu’s Palme d’Or winner FJORD with Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve, a Rorschach test of a psychological/moral twister. Chilling, in a most impressive way. In theaters.

A deeply queer feast of pre-Code bizarreness, James Whale's THE OLD DARK HOUSE is our third Pumpkin of 2026. @celizotte on the film's perverse pleasures:

Dimoldenberg is holding a one-night-only event on Nov. 24 at cinemas in the U.K., Ireland and Paris. The screening will culminate with the final unreleased episode, giving fans a chance to see it before it drops on YouTube Nov. 27.
