Brilliant efforts from our L6th students who ran a campaign in October to raise £1,604 for @BreastCancerNow !! @Fettes_College #WearItPink Well done to all of them!
Challenge completed!!! These students stayed up all night to raise money for Rock Trust! A massive well done to all of them for their efforts with the various fundraisers and for managing to stay awake! 👏👏👏 @Fettes_College @RockTrust_tweet
Our Stay Up All Night fundraiser for Rock Trust is under way! 2 hours in and students are busy playing card games, doing some work, reading, chatting and listening to music! Everyone in great form so far! @Fettes_College @RockTrust_tweet
Wonderful to have Joanne Simpson from Rock Trust coming for breakfast with the students ahead of their Stay Up event on Saturday, and to then hear her speak in Chapel about the brilliant work Rock Trust is doing to help tackle youth homelessness @Fettes_College @RockTrust_tweet
Dropping off donations of food, clothes, and toiletries at the Edinburgh Ukrainian Community Centre today! Many thanks to our L6th Andre, Nadia, Sope, Arianne, Sofia, and Ingrid for organising the collection in school and making a difference 🇺🇦 @Fettes_College
Our second NHS volunteering session took place yesterday, with students confronted to various scenarios they could encounter at the hospital. Once again a big thank you to the NHS staff for taking the time to train our students!! @Fettes_College
New year, new training for our students applying to become volunteers at Western General Hospital 😊 A big thank you to the wonderful NHS staff who came by last night to do the training. Session 2 next week! @Fettes_College
Back from our water rafting/camping/hiking, and we had a fab day yesterday! Everyone enjoying the water rafting and jumping in the river, and our camp by the river was a hit! Too many pics to choose from but here are a few of the water rafting @Fettes_College
Leaving our camp and saying goodbye to Miso, who’s been amazing at guiding the students and helping around the camp. We’re off water rafting and hiking, and it’s very unlikely we will have any signal until Tuesday evening. More news soon!!! @Fettes_College
For our last night in the village, the community treated us to some traditional dancing and games followed by a dinner. Mairi also performed some dancing for us, and then our students arranged a ceilidh for the village to join in! So much fun 😊@Fettes_College
And that’s it for our project work in Costa Rica! Great work from everyone. This afternoon we’re packing our camp as we prepare for our water rafting/hiking adventure, and followed by a presentation from the village. Stay tuned! @Fettes_College
Teamwork! Our last day on our service project and there’s a lot of painting (and still some sanding) taking place @Fettes_College
Last Thursday a group of students learned how to make cajetas, a sweet treat from here made either with carrots or coconut, and yesterday the other group went. A great chance to interact with locals in their own home @Fettes_College

Great progress today: the playground is getting a second coat, the sanding is nearly done, some walls are getting a base coat, and the window bars are getting a facelift! @Fettes_College
