#WATCH | Varanasi, UP: Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attends the 56th FHRAI Annual Convention. He says, "The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) has been working for nearly six decades to foster the growth of the country's hospitality industry and address the challenges associated with it. In recent years, under the leadership of the PM, the country has undergone a transformation; India's economy has progressed, and the world's perspective towards India has shifted. Consequently, immense potential has opened up for India's tourism sector. As our industry stands on the threshold of such vast opportunities, the hotel industry is certainly poised to make a significant contribution to the Indian economy. In this context, an event like this—where stakeholders gather to deliberate on issues, opportunities, and evolving technologies, and to stay updated—will prove to be extremely beneficial. Hosting this convention in Kashi makes it even more significant. This meeting will have a far-reaching impact across the country and the globe, and Kashi's tourism sector will undoubtedly benefit from it."

#WATCH | Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Deputy CM of Odisha, says, "FHRAI (Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India) held its 56th annual convention in Kashi this year, centered on the theme 'Anant Kashi'. This event—which brought together hoteliers from across the state—was organized to showcase Kashi’s spirituality, textiles, and culture. It was a beautiful experience, especially taking place during the holy month of Shravan, a time when devotees flock here to offer holy water to Lord Bholenath. It was truly a delightful and wonderful experience. The foundation and preservation of any country's culture depend on religion. If you look back at the freedom struggle—specifically the movement to oust the British—Lokmanya Tilak initiated the cause by centering it around religion, such as through the public installation of idols and the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. People connect quickly with religion, and that is why Gen Z has also become engaged with it."

#WATCH | Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: Satish Mahana, Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, says, "Kashi is the world's oldest city, and India represents the world's oldest culture. India's values provide direction to the world regarding how to live life. India's hospitality industry, which signifies dedication and the joy of bringing a smile to another person's face; this very spirit is being reflected in the conference taking place here in Kashi. Today, India's hotel industry is the best in the world, so I extend my best wishes. This event will span three days and include academic sessions where industry challenges will be discussed. Government representatives will also attend to listen to these concerns and deliberate on the support the government can provide or has already extended. It is a matter of great happiness that this event is being organized in Kashi..."

#WATCH | Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, King of Udaipur, says, "There is an ancient bond between Mewar and this sacred place (Varanasi)—a connection spanning centuries. I am also immensely happy today recalling the contribution Maharana Fateh Singh Ji made towards the establishment of Banaras Hindu University back in 1912; it is heartening to see how deeply connected this land of Mewar was to the cause of education so long ago. And today, a grand tourism festival is being celebrated here, drawing participants from across the country—a matter of great joy for us... We hope that, in line with the call given by our Prime Minister to explore our own country, more and more people will visit these regions; as Kashi is a revered religious site, people will surely come here to seek the blessings of 'Baba' and enjoy the experience of visiting."
