Here’s what took me wayy too long to learn in b2b software sales Buyers are busy, and there lazy about anything that isn’t “on fire” right now Every time your deck, presentation or proposal makes them do the work like connecting the dots, figure why it matters or decide what to do next - they just won’t They won’t even tell you no. They’ll just do nothing and “I’ll put this off til it becomes a fire” will beat you every single time. So your whole job is taking the work off their plate Start with why now. Don’t make them figure out why it’s a priority. Tell them what’s going on in the market so the urgency is already there when u walk in Then hit their pain, and do the math for them and show them where they could be Their day, but better. No product yet. Let them see the gap first, and then your solution is just the bridge. And if a feature doesnt connect to something they told you hurts, cut it. Nobody wants to work out how a feature helps them. That's your job. Then proof. They shouldn't have to take your word for it or go digging. Show somebody in their exact seat who had the same problem and got a real results and numbers profits out of it Their peer's word beats yours every time. And this is where most reps blow it. They end with "let me know what you think." You just handed all the work back. Now the buyer has to remember the conversation, sell it to their boss, figure out a timeline, and probably chase you down. Never happens. So build a mutual action plan right there Ask when they want to be live, work backward from that date, and map out every step so they don't have to. Send the calendar invites while you're still on the call, so the meetings are already booked. Ya sure they get some homework, but it's small and specific with a date on it. Way easier than "go think about it." Plus it's a free lie detector. If they wont commit to the plan, they were never going to sign That's the whole game. Every piece takes a job off their plate They don't have to find the reason, do the maths, picture the future, hunt for proof, or plan the rollout, adoption and execution You did all of it. All they have to do is say yess

So outbound is drowning in its own automation? Maybe 2026 sellers need fewer tools and more real conversations. #EnterpriseSelling

All that automation was supposed to make outbound easier, not suffocating. Is the 2026 playbook just going back to basics? #EnterpriseSales

It’s my pleasure to share with you one of my favorite client stories. Tony is from the UK. Not long ago he was working in an Amazon warehouse with zero sales experience. No background, no connections, no “in" to tech sales Today he’s making $160k/yr stacking SDR contracts. 100% remote. Traveling the world while he does it. This Sunday, he’s joining me live, and we’re breaking down the exact playbook he used: → How he landed his first SDR contracts → How he stacks them and gets paid for pipeline, not hours → The tools and systems that do the heavy lifting 📅 This Sunday 10/18 at 6pm EDT Registration in reply

Fidel is not only right. But pioneering first principles. The first call is how to frame and obtain a lower barrier to entry . Everything comes down the to catalogued account intelligence Why? -lower the barrier to entry with your potential customers -validate the wider market -build rapport -find the recipe that would win & when - have permission to circle back and show them What it gets you? → Who is with who → What do they like → What do they wish they could change → What would the winner tender need to contain → Permission to circle back - offer grass is greener audit / alternative Now if that wasn’t enough - this unlocks not only your marketing to become commercially viable. This gives you Right Account Right Contacts Right Channel Right Offer Right Timing Timing for now 3,6,9 months handed to marketing gets them out of no intent lead gen. Enables them to conduct actual marketing For those not there yet, perhaps they tell you where you could be, 12-24 months providing you your product roadmapping Both, evergreen motions. All dispersed across when collected across Marketing Product Sales Customer success Leadership For complete transparency and commercial viability. Conversation → Catalogue → System-wide deployment → Outcome
Drop the f* pitch Reserve objection handling for motivated buyers & drop into the ‘cold’ call W/ research-based talk tracks ‘Are you a motivated buyer, cuz based off my research here, you seem like one.‘ Is the ONLY premise of the ‘cold’ call
