Outdoor education builds resilience, confidence and a love of learning.
The Scottish Parliament recently made outdoor education a legal entitlement for every pupil.
Today, I asked the Education Secretary to give every young person in England this same life-changing opportunity

Glad to see Slapton Ley is still going I went on one of these course a VERY long time ago whilst studying A level geography and Biology. It gave me a lifelong interest and is one of the reasons I am involved with @SVPcharity
Our small group courses provide an opportunity for students to undertake the necessary fieldwork for their qualification in biology, geography, and environmental science. We offer day and residential courses across our network of UK centres.

A wonderful initiative, sparking a love of the natural world - along with the proven benefits of nature for mental health. Shockingly 18% of children in the most deprived areas are not getting time in any kind of natural space, what a dreadful statistic. Well done @FieldStudiesC
