A screenshots from an initial concept don’t change what we see in the show the character has their own arc, their own set of problems, and their own way of navigating things. It’s reductive to let yourself be influenced just by that, to the point of ignoring their character arc

This is just reductive. There are some duos in which the person of color is allowed to be their own character. Alec and Fiore for instance is one. Gabby and Ellie is another. Spam, however, is not. Sam was made first and foremost to be Spencer’s love interest as the Jorge screenshots prove.

Now that it's finally out I'm so honored by the reception. EP 21 was one of my favorites to record and a blast to bring some of Sam's past to light and show that he's more than an aura farmer in the confessionals. Not to mention fumbling an immunity that should be "mine" 😂
