Karen Bass thinks this makes her look tough and progressive, but all it does is make Los Angeles more dangerous. She would rather protect illegal criminals than protect the citizens who pay her salary.
LAPD officers on the ground want to help. They took an oath to uphold the law. But their woke Mayor is tying their hands for political points.

Women’s spaces are for women. Behind bars or not.
Federal prisons have placed biological men inside women’s facilities, in their housing units, their showers, and their transport vans. Female inmates have no locked door, no way out, and nowhere to go. A prison sentence should never come with the added threat of sexual assault.
We introduced the Prison Rape Prevention Act to require the Bureau of Prisons to house every inmate only with others of the same BIOLOGICAL sex, and transport them the same way. No exceptions for self-identification. No loopholes for gender ideology.
A man in a women’s prison isn’t progressive. It’s predatory policy. Women’s safety is non-negotiable.
