Today marks the 3rd anniversary of Nate Lindstrom’s death. Nate was a beloved friend and fellow clergy abuse survivor. Like an alarming number of childhood victims of clergy abuse, Nate took his life. This abuse leaves victims to experience unbearable pain in isolation.

Hey Diehard Buffalo Catholics... The Buffalo Diocese did nothing to protect me, and in fact, prolonged my abuse and subsequently allowed him to abuse more when they moved him. Just in case you thought everything was hunky dory still with us survivors. It's not.

Re-victimization, through the very process of finding justice and to be truly heard, is a very real ramification for survivors. Emotional trauma during the seeking of justice is an added layer of harm that the perpetrator absolutely should be held liable for. #armiesofenablers

On this year's Holocaust Remembrance Day, it is essential we recognize the rise of anti semitism, the gnawing persistence of Holocaust denial, thereby imposing more than ever, recognizing 6M Jews were killed by the Nazi’s and their collaborators aided by enablers and bystanders.

Let me clearly reiterate the insanity of all of this: The Diocese of Buffalo KNEW of the abuser and then sent them on their way to abuse again. They KNOWINGLY allowed an abuser to continue to be around children. Lives were forever changed because of their inaction to protect
