If politicians or the media mention our community, we really shouldn’t feed the algorithm or amplify it, especially when the attention isn’t in our favor. Don’t perpetuate it. Our community is extremely small and niche, and that visibility can easily be used for the wrong reasons. As tensions rise, there will be attempts to weaponize anything associated with LGBTQ+ communities. The best thing we can do is avoid giving that content more reach.
