Love this. Jason Aquilante is one of the best coaches I have had the privilege of working with. A cool look at his career and transition to Catching.

No good reason why a team shouldn’t do this. Get feedback from college coaches at a low cost without traveling all over the place.
Spent today with @angelsbbculture team who participated in @FirstLookHQ October Hitting Group - 15 players video 20swings in @FirstLookHQ app - next week- 8 colleges provide players direct feedback on their swing in the app #changingthegame #showyourwork

Many players talk about how much time they spend hitting/working out. So many want to be seen at the gym or at the field. But are you being efficient & providing value to others? Or just there to log hours?

Coach: “Just throw strikes”. Would love to hear a kid respond back, “That’s what I’m supposed to do?”

Many players strive for the best ‘metric’ but fail to learn the game. Skills are useless if you don’t know how to use them in the game.

A requirement to enter the portal should be a survey that kids have to take that helps get an understanding around why they are transferring. Transferring can be difficult financially for parents and delay graduation. Many could benefit from the data.

You wanna play at the next level? You must be obsessed with every aspect of the journey. Improve your skills. Improve your grades. Research colleges. Reach out to coaches. Be an active participant in all aspects of the journey.

If you watched the CWS Championship game you heard a LOT about the MSU defense and how it outperformed the Vandy defense. Don't simply post videos on hitting. Show video exhibiting your defensive side. Show you are a complete player. #WednesdayWisdom

If you can qualify for academic money, you will be doing yourselves & your parents a HUGE favor.Take your grades seriously.Don't simply do enough to graduate. Plus, you are more attractive to colleges if they know you can get financial assistance from academics. #WednesdayWisom
College baseball season ends tonight in Omaha @NCAACWS I want to bring attention to the parents of college baseball players who on average are paying 65% of their sons tuition for 4 years. 11.7 scholarships for baseball, 85 for football, Ice hockey 18. Time to fix this NOW NCAA
