The Highest area for Severe Storms Today is in portions of east-central Minnesota and west/central Wisconsin, including areas near the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. Primary Hazards - Tornadoes: Isolated tornado potential, especially with organized storms developing near frontal boundaries. - Damaging Winds: Strong thunderstorms could produce locally damaging gusts. - Large hail: Isolated severe hail possible. Timing: Greatest concern is later this afternoon through the evening, particularly as the low-pressure system and associated cold front approach. The tornado threat is conditional on sufficient instability developing. If clouds limit surface heating, severe coverage may remain limited despite favorable wind shear.
