People can run with whatever narrative helps them sleep at night and shove it right up their ass. I don’t feel the need to explain myself, correct anyone, or defend my character. When someone chooses to misunderstand you intentionally, there’s nothing to explain.

So the allegation of plagiarism in his PhD was investigated and dismissed. It turns out he did run all those marathons. So tell me, precisely, all you online sleuths — what exactly did Jason Arday do wrong?
(Apart from being the wrong class and colour of course)

You can tell a lot about a person by what they do after hurting you. Some apologize. Some reflect. Some change. And some will rewrite the entire story in their head just to avoid feeling guilty. Accountability is rare because protecting the ego is easier than becoming better.

Always have a backup plan for any plan that requires another human to execute
How about billionaires just paid their taxes and we leave those who are seeking political asylum alone? Just a suggestion 🙃

You should never be expected to be the bigger person when you didn't create the discomfort in the first place. Too many people cause the chaos, cross the line, then want you to swallow your feelings just to keep the peace.
Accountability matters. Being mature doesn't mean accepting disrespect or cleaning up messes you didn't make. Sometimes protecting your peace means standing firm and letting folks sit in the consequences of what they caused.

never stop the hunt for real and kind friends because they exist and you won’t find them if you keep mistaking proximity for intimacy.
I dunno... Personally the village that raised me included both grandparents. My grandad took me to and from school most days. My male cousins used to look after me and take me out as much as aunties and godmothers...

tbh ADHD is not being able to clean your own kitchen for 6 days but volunteering at a community event for 6 hours on a Saturday because other people's needs activate your brain in ways your own needs don't.

I’m glad I learned how to give up on people. I am no longer a fixer. I am no longer here to hold your emotional baggage for you. I am not here to guide you through the shadow work you want to ignore. I am not here to hold you accountable when you know you did wrong. I am here to give up on you the second that you show me that you aren’t truly dedicated to being the bare minimum of a decent person. Thangyaaa byeee.
Eventually, you will accept that you carry contradictions. You can be grateful and dissatisfied at the same time. Hopeful and cautious. Capable and tired. Good and bad to different or even the same people. Life has no default settings.

My position on Kanye is whilst I think he was and is very mentally ill, he went way too far and has yet to sufficiently make amends or take accountability. With that said, the whole furore is exposing the hypocrisy and hierarchising of whose pain matters.

I don't accept people treating me weirdly when they're "going through something" because when I'm going through something I'm still nice and I'm still kind and I don't feel like that's an excuse to treat people like shit.
Not them cancelling the entire Wireless Festival because of one act 😫 I know he was the headliner but what about everyone else
