I don't agree with Milad on the economic war being sufficient. This would only waste the little amount of time we have under Trump.
What you suggest makes sense, and I agree that that's the way, but it goes directly against Milad's piece, which you call great.
Targeting the regime leadership would result in a larger-scale war anyways. So, war is the solution and the bombs should in fact leave the racks.

I agree that the targeting of infra with the hopes of the regime making concessions is nothing but wishful thinking. But, holding the blockage alone and hoping for regime collapse is probably even more unrealistic. The regime can still feed its rabid dogs and nip any dissent in the bud. They are not going to collapse with the blockage alone. What's needed is the blockage plus targeted strikes of the political and military leadership. The latter would definitely result in a wider-scale war. So, at the end of the day, kinetic action is needed. But, what we target is essential in whether this turns into a disaster or a decisive win.
Milad's suggestion is very dangerous and can result in our limited time under Trump being wasted.

Great takes as usual Arash, but if we want to achieve #4, the so called "mullahs in suits" must be targeted even before the "diaper-wearing mullahs" in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
The likes of Javad Zarif, Rouhani and Khatami are the ones that have been creating the conditions for the survival of the Islamic regime over the years. Trita Parsi is the spawn of this faction, and you can see how their lobbying has easily fooled the administration.

Milad's take is extremely flawed and is based on the assumption that the Islamic regime cares about the general population and their reactions. It does not. It only has a "greenhouse" population that it tries to keep satisfied so that they can do the killing. Given Iran's wealth, it's not hard to withstand the blackout until a Democrat comes to power.

It increasingly looks as though the regime is preparing for another limited war. The key word here is “limited.”
For the Islamist regime in Tehran, another war that fails to topple it is a victory it can sell to its shrinking hardline base.
The regime is increasingly less a state and more a radical Islamist movement. Its survival depends on a narrow ideological base of fanatics willing to kill to keep it in power, as long as it remains faithful to its radical ideology.
This is precisely why the regime cannot make a deal with the West. Facing the constant threat of an uprising by millions of Iranians, it cannot afford to alienate the radical base on which its survival depends.
The regime sees the next two years as its final test. Its hope is to survive until 2028 brings a regime-friendly administration to the White House, giving it the opportunity to rebuild its missile program, recover its strength, and reassert its dominance over the region.
The solution has been, and remains, to bring down the Islamist regime before 2028. To do that the Iranian people and their role should be the key element in any planning for the next two years.

هرچند در این میان، اشخاصی از بخش خصوصی، که کارنامه آنان از کارگزاری فیلترینگ آغاز شده نیز حضور دارند. اشخاصی با پیوندهای خاص، شبکهای از مدیران که اکثرا متولد عراق هستند و با محصولات بهداشتی پنبهریز ارتباط پیدا میکنند.
بررسی هزاران برگ سند، نمایی کلی از این شبکه را نشان میدهد که چکیده آن به ۶۹۰ شخص حقیقی و ۲۹۸ شخص حقوقی میرسد.

هفتم آبان، روز بزرگداشت کوروش بزرگ، روز پاسداشت شکوه ایران و ارزشهای دیرپای آزادی، رواداری و دادگری است که ملت ما در گذر سدهها آنها را زنده داشته است.
نام و کارنامه کوروش برای ما تنها یادآور شکوه گذشته نیست بلکه صخرهای استوار و سکوی پرشی است برای دستیابی به آیندهای بهتر، آیندهای که به گواهی تاریخ پرشکوهمان سزاوار آنیم.
