Mutual attraction is the most powerful aphrodisiac. Second most powerful is vast amounts of money, so does that leave oysters in third place?

Retirement - when the worst thing that happens all day is @Apple changing their music app icon to one that I don't like. Seriously guys, it's 'orrible, and no longer gels with the ones next to it on my phone! #1stWorldProblems

I can’t believe it’s almost 2027 and we still don’t have flying data centers.

Another question about clinical exams: In the FRCA viva: the RCoA provides reasonable adjustments for those with neurodivergence - extra time for processing, delivery etc. How is this reconciled w/ decision-making in a real anaesthetic emergency, where time waits for no one?

Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard in Star Trek:TNG is one of the most inspired pieces of casting ever. He elevated everything he was in. RIP to a real master of his craft.

Sir Patrick Stewart has left the stage at 86. Farewell to a true titan of acting and one of the finest performers of his time. A great loss. R.I.P.

What evil, eldritch magik be this? Once upon a time, you could literally pick up a bottle of @Gin_Gordons with only a brief glance to confirm the bottle's colour... These days you not only have to check the flavour, but whether it contains the correct concentration of alcohol!

Plenty of private sector moaning in the media regarding the @BMA_Consultants industrial action on 25th & 26th November... "But they're paid so well!" An enlightening graph below from a @NuffieldTrust article. Nurses and midwives next? #NHS @TheBMA nuffieldtrust.org.uk/news-it…

Consultants don’t want to strike, but after 18 months without formal negotiations, they cannot wait any longer. These strikes are planned to take place on 25 and 26 November, with Christmas Day levels of cover provided. There is still time for the Government to make progress.

"I don't know why we do this every six months. I don't know where you are, but I do have a very particular set of skills, skills that mean I will look for you, I will find you and I will turn you back exactly one hour..." ~ me to one of the few remaining clocks in the house that don't do it automatically #ClocksGoBack

Not sure whether this means I’m going senile, or is just testimony to how good the noise cancelling is on my @Apple AirPod Pros, but while hoovering today and listening to “Hippies, Thugs and Heroes” - the new album by @RthompsonMusic - it took me 5 minutes to realise I hadn’t turned the vacuum on…

Dear oh dear, #bbcaq spouting the usual eco-loon climate nonsense I hear. If we achieved net zero - whatever that nebulous concept actually means - tomorrow in the UK... NOTHING would happen, apart from power cuts and a crashed economy.

'An estimated 4,354 died in heatwaves' Whoever did the estimating was WRONG. How do we know? The ONS counts the corpses. And despite all the scaremongering, there was absolutely nothing unusual about the death rate in Summer 2026. Mr Ramsay was either misled..or misled himself. That's fine...but a man in his position shouldn't try to mislead US. Be more careful! We see you! @AdrianRamsay
This death toll should be treated as the national scandal it is. An estimated 4,354 people have died in UK heatwaves since June. The Government has yet to explain how, or what it will do to be ready before next summer.
