Any recommendations for a streaming service based in Europe with a good selection of Euro-cult horror movies (e.g. Franco, Rollin, etc.)? I often see that something is "on Prime or Apple+" but not in the country where I live (Poland) and both block VPN traffic. :(
Did a Halloween show and really proud of some numbers, especially a 3 girl lesbian vampire burlesque.

On the 50th anniversary of Texas Chainsaw Massacre's release, I know lots of people are writing about it.
And I said, "me too!"
What a movie!

I was such a horror fan meme today: planned to see The Substance, but it was raining and I didn't wanna schlep. Heard Oddity was great so went to Shudder...and ended up watching F13: pt.4 for the nth time. I don't even love it, but just can't say no to Crispin Glover' dancing.
Finally got to read "The Angel of Indian Lake" by @SGJ72 and was so happy to get back in slasher space. Wild, magical realist, emotionally intense, mythically resonant - really something special. More thoughts below:

I finally watched Brandon Cronenberg's Antiviral, Possessor, and Infinity Pool. So full of ideas, but still really fun, even funny. It's wild how he seems to be carrying on the family business of philosophical body horror. Some people become accountants.

Aargh! I've been waiting a month for The Angel of Indian Lake by @SGJ72 , it was supposed to come today, and just got an email from Amazon that it will now be delivered between next Monday and October 10th! I want it now! Argh!!!
Clive Barker was my gateway to horror back in the day. I think his unique style shines in The Hellbound Heart, Hellraiser I & II, and the 2022 reboot (even in the two he didn't directly make, I think many elements of his approach to horror are present):

Finally watched Ghostwatch. Wow - I watch horror constantly and it's so rare that anything scares me anymore, but that was really creepy and I can only imagine how freaking terrifying it must have been watching it live in the UK in 92, knowing this were real news presenters.
After years I finally returned to Cemetery Man, now on Shudder. It wasn't exactly how I'd remembered it, but it is still a hell of a movie, even if I view some parts of it differently now from how I did as a teenager in the 90s.

I've long loved Argento, but just finally checked out his "Animal Trilogy" - his first three gialli. It's not necessarily my favorite of his, but there's a lot there to love and fascinating to see the seeds of what was to come.

Even when they don't sound "horror"-y, I just love songs associated with horror flicks and have put together a short list here:

Some are directly from movies, some reference them, and some just give horror vibes.
What are your favorite horror tunes?
Checked out 'The Haunted Palace,' the 1st Lovecraft adaptation. A bit old fashioned, but so lovable and Vincent Price wows in a dual role - chewing the scenery with surprising nuance. What a treasure!

Is Stuart Gordon's From Beyond the best Lovecraft adaptation? It might be - and it's not just goopy creatures; it really nails the extreme tone of the prose. Jeffrey Combs just kills it!

Without glorious, campy classics like The Toxic Avenger and Killer Klowns from Outer Space, I might not have become a horror fan when I was a kid. Just revisited them and what a treat!

Working through the canon of Lesbian Vampire Films and just watched Requiem for a Vampire and Alucarda. Very different movies, but both walk this great line between exploitation and high art. Loved em!

Does anyone know what happened to Kinocult.com? They've been my go-to place for Jean Rollin, Jesus Franco and exploitation weirdness and in the last week, it just seems like all their content has disappeared. Anyone know anything?

Before Pride Month is done, I wanted to check out some of the Queer Horror collection on Shudder I hadn't seen: Spiral, Knife + Heart, and Death Drop Gorgeous.
It was nice to see such modern pieces that could be so open (unlike coded films of the past).
