Any way to stop X showing me people arguing for AI in #gamedev? I just don't care. I mean, I do, we paid an artist for our #indiegame key art for a reason (shoutout Gjergji Zhuka), but I am so tired of the same tired arguments ad nauseum. It's tedious and the discourse sucks.

Appreciate it :) It's a lot to juggle and some days it gets pretty tough, but I really just love building it and want to share it with players as soon as possible!

Struggling to build and market my indie game whilst work march me up and down the country for client meets. I'm tired and wishlists have slowed to a crawl... So if you're seeing this, I'm building a quirky #roguelike #RTS out of pure love, for folks like you. Have a look 👇

Successful time off spent on passion projects: 1) Added a whole planetary defense upgrade system to VOIDSWARM. 2) GOT ENGAGED?!💍 3) Dozens of bug fixes for the game. Y'know, the usual. #roguelike #indiegame

Took a short break and coming back revitalised - just like these ships after getting support from the new Repair Ray base defense that's just been added to VOIDSWARM😎 #roguelike #indiegame

Woohoo, time off of work! What should I do to relax? How about some *intense nights of gamedev* to heal from the work stress? 🫣 (Also how sick is the new capsule art by Gjergji Zhuka?!) #gamedev #roguelike

Boom, planet shields go 💥POP💥 when fully broken now! They visually degrade with damage, then shatter all at once! #roguelike #indiegame

Goddamnit, you're right... At this point I'd cut a deal with the devil for any one of The Winds of Winter, ES6, or another JA critique.

Planets now have visible shields that degrade as they take damage!👽Now players can easily see the current owner and capture status. Next steps - add a tasty particle explosion and shattering sound when the shield breaks💥 #roguelike #indiegame

Nothing gives me that little boost better than seeing the wishlist count tick up. That's a real person who's taken a look at your game and thought 'Yeah, looks cool, keep me updated', and that rocks. A lot. #gamedev #indiegame

Both - in it's most basic form it reveals which planets are open for attack, but it can also reveal the enemy commanders current strategy/focus, and more reliably uncover strategic targets like enemy warp gates which the player may want to prioritise.

It's one part of it, yeah. Destroyers are more efficient at capturing planets and area denial, and utility ships can provide intel and/or resources to the rest of the fleet. But yes, the key advantage of fighters is a larger effective radius in any given moment.

Fighters are agile and respond to distant threats much quicker than destroyers and utility ships. Watch me zoom in to save my fleet defending another planet from a boss alien 🚀 #roguelike #indiegame

Another one - we have a status effect called 'entropy', the player builds the effects of entropy during a run. e.g. one option gives entropy-procced enemies a small chance of dropping a healing zone on death. This lets you rush in on risky attacks! #roguelike #indiegame
Just finished getting 25 new items in the upgrade shop implemented! A taster: shocked enemies move slower, turning them into fish in a barrel for you and your fleet and buying you extra time against boss enemies😎 #roguelike #indiegame

Very patchy depending on what's happening in development. I'm solo developing alongside a day job right now, working towards a playtest and demo, and the reality is sometimes I can only do one or the other with the time I have available, in which case actual dev gets priority rn.
