Can you succeed from ANYWHERE in the world? I just came back from Niš, Serbia. If you don't know where that is, don't worry—I had no clue either. Serbia isn't a hugely popular destination (ranking around 100 in popularity), and Niš isn't even the biggest city; it's the 3rd. Not exactly an international hub, but what I saw there amazed me. I was invited to speak at FlowConf (flow.ninja/flowconf), a Webflow conference hosted by @FlowNinjaStudio which is a Webflow Enterprise Agency. Initially, I thought “Wow, it's unbelievable that from this small town in the middle of nowhere (globally speaking, no offense to my Serbian friends), Uros, who's 26, built such an amazing agency working with global brands like Upwork, Honeybook and many more.” But then, during the conference, I met 300 more Webflow designers from the area, some from even much smaller towns, all freelancing and building agencies that work with clients in big cities in the US, UK, or across Europe, all doing amazingly well! It's mind blowing. Spending so much time on social media, I sometimes fall into the misconception that all the interesting things happen in big central places (far from me!), and that AI is taking over the world. However, going out to the real world and meeting active web design practitioners showed me once again that web design as a profession is alive and kicking, and people are doing amazingly well no matter where they are coming from. You are already in the right place to succeed. Just go do the work.
