RUNWAY COLLAPSE AT BANGKOK SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT: CHINA AIRLINES FLIGHT AFFECTED.
A China Airlines Boeing 737-800, registered B-18665, operating flight CI840 from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, encountered a serious ground-surface problem on the evening of October 28, 2026.
According to initial information, a large depression allegedly appeared in the pavement near the aircraftโs landing gear as it was preparing for take-off, leaving the aircraft unable to move.
A report claims that passengers were asked to disembark and that hotel accommodation was arranged.

YEMENIA AIRWAYS AIRCRAFT LANDS SAFELY AFTER HAILSTRIKE EN ROUTE TO AMMAN
A Yemenia Airways flight from Aden International Airport (ADE) to Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) landed safely on Monday, October 26, after encountering severe weather and a hailstrike during the flight.
According to Yemeni media reports, the aircraft experienced significant turbulence, with hail damaging the nose Radome and cockpit windshield. Passengers were reported safe, with no injuries reported.
Yemenia Airways spokesperson Hatem Al-Shaabi confirmed that the aircraft had landed safely and stated that it would undergo maintenance in Amman. A replacement aircraft was arranged for passengers scheduled to travel from Amman to Aden.
The incident has drawn praise for the flight crewโs handling of the challenging conditions. It also highlights the serious hazards thunderstorms and hail can pose to aircraft, reinforcing the importance of sound decision-making, crew training, and established aviation safety procedures.

Watching an A380 do a little bit of a hard landing in is wild. The wingtips flex up and bob, the main gear bogies tilt and the tires smoke, and the oleo struts compress then spring back, sometimes lifting the wheels off the runway for a second bounce. It looks violent, but itโs all designed in. The aircraft can weigh close to 400 tons when it lands, yet pilots are expected to set it down so smoothly you barely notice. When it doesnโt go that way, a hard landing feels like a whole building is dropping . Wild job honestly.
