I agree that Korra (both the character & series) received a disproportionate amount of bad faith & often misogynistic hate, but I really don't like this revisionism where we pretend there were never any legitimate critiques of the show or that "aang glazers" are an actual problem

And just for the record - taking a break from duties / a career to raise your babies is also respectable. I really hate it when ppl are like “ugh they made her into just a mom”. Y’all really don’t understand what motherhood entails.
Not to mention it’s not true because even after she had kids and Aang passed away, she was still a world renowned Waterbender and healer, training the next Avatar. Thank u, next.

Unfortunately a lot of critiques about Aang fall flat for me because if you were the last person of your entire race (basically overnight) you would not be nearly as well adjusted as he was.

complaining about katara ‘making babies’ (mind you, kataang being parents of children with an age gap of 4-5 years each) just for them to do worse… erasing her as a council member, teacher, founder of RC… yeah, they smh need to be !nterned bc their altering of reality is insane

Bolin had MULTIPLE love interests, just because he liked Korra doesn't mean they dated, Korra doesn't owe him ANYTHING. Mako is a CHEATER and the fact that he didn't tell Korra they weren't together anymore when she lost her memories (🤢). But of course Korra gets all the hate
