its actually quite refreshing to have a PM whose embarrassing history involves raising money for charity, rather than burning £50 notes in front of homeless people and shagging pigs...

The PM said on TV show 'Gogglebox' for Stand Up To Cancer he has a "clang of anxiety" when discussing dancing - after taking part in a charity event for the Rob Burrow centre for MND

A lot of you from outside Ireland are probably hearing about the Garvaghy Road and wondering what all the fuss is about.
1998 -
After the parade was banned from marching on the Garvaghy Rd, ten Catholic churches were set on fire across Ulster in one night.
In the following days, loyalists attacked Catholic homes, schools and businesses. Multiple houses were petrol-bombed, resulting in the murder of 3 young boys, the Quinn brothers. Their home was targeted because their mother was Catholic.
She mother woke to the sound of her children screaming in fear and the house full of smoke. Sadly the boys, Jason, Mark and Richard, did not make it out.
Garfield Gilmour was sentenced to life in prison after he admitted to driving three members of a UVF unit to the house, but later that was reduced to manslaughter.
Johnny McKay and brothers Raymond and Ivan Parke were named by Gilmour as the killers, but were never charged because of a lack of evidence.
In the days following the murders, loyalist bands defied orders not to play music while marching passed the home of the Quinn boys grandmother.
Tonight, a court overturned an earlier ruling banning the parade from marching on the Garvaghy Road, crowds have gathered and confrontation now seems inevitable with that march set to go ahead early Sunday morning.
The courts allowing this march to go ahead is absolute madness!

They arrested 86 football fans at the 2020 final at Wembley, they called it a national disgrace, threatened to ban football from England, they even made a Netflix documentary about called 'The Final Attack on Wembley' vast majority were white British men arrested.
In 2025 they arrested 528 people at Notting Hill Carnival for assaults on police, sexual misconduct, drugs and weapons offences. They called it a roaring success, largely peaceful festival, a credit to the UK, no mention of canceling it, no netflix documentery, no mass media outrage. Vast majority were black British men of Africa/Caribbean decent.
If I speak...
'Glastonbury tends to be majority white...
Notting Hill Carnival, majority people of colour.'

Welsh rugby union is currently out of its depth and that is a fact. We’ve gone backwards not only as a team but a governing body. We need change immediately @WelshGovernment

Brydon Carse was wrong, let's be clear. But my goodness, Azeem Rafiq moralising about cricketer's bad behaviour getting covered up? Talk about glass houses. I only published about half the stuff I knew about him in The Yorkshire Files

Perfectly reasonable and normal to take your team for a drink and put a smile on after you’ve been unceremoniously dumped in a coup. One of Britain’s finer traditions if you ask me.
Kicked out of government and then off to the pub for a laugh and a giggle
All while the country remains crippled
Glad to see they’re having a good time

Respectfully, what a load of tosh. The England women’s team were so interested in their own Test match they were playing Rubik’s cubes and throwing shirts over fans.

People who throw pints, particularly after an early retaken penalty in a group game, have never been to a football match before.
Performative, cringeworthy nonsense.

🚨 Rochdale and York City have released the following joint statement:
“This Saturday’s game brings an end to one of the most thrilling, exciting and unpredictable title races in football history. Both ourselves and Rochdale have the chance to write our names in National League history.
The National League is no longer a non-league competition. It is effectively a League 3, with fully professional clubs operating at a level equal to or higher than many of those in League 2.
We both understand how important this game is to both clubs and supporters. We both pledge now that whatever happens tomorrow, we will both continue to fight for 3UP.
Both clubs sit on over 100 points. One of us will have to fight once more in the National League Play-Offs. However, we both strongly believe that this shouldn’t have to be the case.
We call on the National League, Football Regulator, EFL and Premier League to come together immediately and resolve this issue, so that we do not have to highlight this injustice year after year.
For both sets of supporters attending the Crown Oil Arena this weekend, we say thank you for being with us all season. The passion you’ve shown for both clubs has been felt across the world. This game will be seen far and wide. We want to showcase this league for all its potential. Keep your support in the stands, not on the pitch, and let’s all protect the game we love.
Thank you!
