My FocusMe Coach flagged my email and WhatsApp usage for 3 weeks.
It saw distractions. I saw customer support, team coordination, and work that needed doing.
The data was right. The interpretation was wrong.
I pushed back in my journal, and the next report adjusted.

@FocusMe has an Accountability Partners feature. When a plan is protected with partner approval, you can't stop or pause it without your partner entering a code. It's a human layer on top of the technology.

I had 41 tasks in @FocusMe. Some overdue by weeks. A few untouched since May.Every time I opened the list, I felt a small wave of guilt. Not for any one task, but for the pile itself. 🧵
My @FocusMe Coach put it better than I could:“The items that have sat untouched for weeks aren’t reminders - they’re weight. A single 20 minutes to mark some as ‘not doing’ rather than ‘not yet done’ would be more useful than completing three new ones.”
The problem wasn’t the tasks. My list was a dumping ground: feature ideas next to overdue admin next to personal errands. The important things were in there, but the noise made them invisible.
So I did two things:Deleted anything that wasn’t a real commitment.
Added category filters to FocusMe Tasks. Tap the eye icon to hide a category from view.
(attach category filter screenshot)
I also added an option to hide tasks with a future start date until they’re relevant. Now my list shows only what I’ve committed to this week. The noise is gone.
A long task list doesn’t motivate you. It just makes you feel behind.Your list might need editing, not completing.
