Yep. Lots of buried metal.
I have a Minelab Equinox 800. I found barshot from the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet on the beach here in Florida.
The ocean isn't nice to metal but we still have ancient nails from wrecks thousands of years old in the right condition.

While I was at the metal detecting event yesterday the guy that set all of it up with the park district comes up to me and hands me this early 1900s printing plate full sheet and told me how him and his son found it in the back yard of their house!! 😱😱🤯🤯 @Minelab
At 5 lb. 5 oz., the StuLine shovel is definitely not lightweight—but can that extra weight actually be an advantage in tough ground? We put it to the test.

Update on that Catholic cross I found today metal detecting. It says “sterling chapel” on the back of it. It’s from the 1940s to 1960’s and it’s .925 sterling silver.
I must have found 20 of this style cross in my lifetime but this is the 1st one I’ve found that was silver.

On this day:
7 October 2021
Solo 8 month motorcycle trip from Florida.
Kingman Arizona on top of a 300 foot canyon.
The cowboy coffee fueled the days conversations of the Kingman UFO crash.
Did some metal detecting that day.
The truth is stranger than Fiction.
Go touch grass.
