My best friend the extraordinary rapper Mark Pheonix (yes, "the E before the O") passed away this morning. I don't have pretty stuff to say yet as I'm still going through it, but I just felt I'd share to get the word around. 🕊️

Making me want to break out my vinyl of "That's How It Is (It's Like That)", which is like the OG version of "It's Like That (My Big Brother") w/ a different chorus, no K-Solo, & extra DOPE verses from Doc. And anybody saying Doc is overrated can't rap lol. If u get ill u know!!

This app is wild. I’ve seen some crazy takes about Redman..I’ve seen him be called “ overrated “ I have seen a person say when I wanna laugh I listen to doc……well this is the real Redman a super dead nice MC.

Everyone should have somebody who loves them like Aklo loves Cody <3 (It'd be a much kinder world)

Replying to @NotAklo
I got up from my setup to hug Cody and told him, “Cody don’t get upset. A lot of people here who want to see you win. Stop it. You’re still going to win.” I didn’t say this as motivation, but just as a matter of fact.

For anybody who knows him, Mark Pheonix is in the ICU right now on life support. He also apparently has been getting dialysis treatments for some time now. This was a song I randomly made in tribute to him earlier this week. I had no idea. Spooky stuff man… #MarkPheonix ❤️

Exactly this. I'm all for morally complex and edgy characters/ films… but we also need inspirational and positive stories in our mental diets.

The actual proper name was "the light shield trick", that i named in early 2006 when me and Trevyn (from DC++) both worked together to discovered it and make it competitively useful. Then spread knowledge of it to PC Chris, Ken and others. People later renamed it "Marth Killer".
KirbyKaze@kirbykaze_3 Nov 2025
Also the proper name for what you’re doing with Marth Killer is Light Shield Hog and my brain just really loves how that term flows js

As of today, there's equally as much time between right now and the release of The Smash Brothers as there is between its release and the release of Melee. Premiere of The Smash Brothers: Oct 11th, 2013 (4352 days) Melee Japanese release date: Nov 11, 2001 (8704 days)

Right now my brain has decided to play Biggie rapping "Who Shot Ya" over the beat for Diamond D's "Check One, Two". With some Diamond D lyrics mixed in there lol It's always weird spontaneous DJ blends up in here lol #HipHop

Update: Diamond D's vocals are still in the mix, but Biggie left cuz Ghostface from "Protect Ya Neck" joined in and pretty much took over from there lol Which was appropriate because I've been in Staten Island all afternoon haha (This blend actually sounds pretty good…)

I needed this so bad. This month has been heartbreakingly depressing and full of loss. Thank you, Togashi 🙏

So now that Taylor Swift owns the masters to her early recordings.... Do we listen to both versions now? Haha Seriously: Was she able to acquire the catalog at a discount because she was successfully able to devalue them (to anyone else) via the whole Taylor's Version campaign?

I'll never forget the first time we met, Hax. I ordered replacement cords for my B0XX… and you literally got on the train to bring them to me! We ended up standing out in the street next to the subway, talking for like an hour or two…. Rest In Paradise Abdulaziz Al-Yami 🙏
