"Based on feedback from the community and consultations with local experts, The San Francisco Foundation reshaped its grantmaking strategy and role in addressing the inequities facing residents."
How can we reproduce these efforts in Illinois? buff.ly/2RV3i7o
A reading list for 2019! @SSIR compiled their best book reviews and excerpts from 2018 so the social impact sector can start the New Year off right.

"If you can’t afford a car or access public transit, how can you make crucial appointments like doctor’s visits or job interviews? United Way is helping, with an assist from Lyft." buff.ly/2UX1kp7
"Studies on organizational change show that leaders across the board agree: if you want to lead a successful transformation, communicating empathetically is critical. But the truth is that most leaders don’t actually know how to do it." buff.ly/2UX9aPu
And that's a wrap, folks! Thank you to all who participated in our twitterstorm with @AAAJ_AAJC to urge the @uscensusbureau to include a strong Language Support Program for ALL of our communities; we ALL deserve to be counted. #2020Census
Failure to provide adequate language assistance would be detrimental to the future of our families and communities. We need @uscensusbureau to act now before it’s too late. #2020Census #AAPI2020
Please Retweet: An incomplete count of our communities will result in consequences for the next decade. That’s why we need appropriate language support. Read our letter: buff.ly/2CjXyyT #2020Census #AAPI2020
It's unacceptable that the #2020Census Language Support program supports only 1 American Indian language and doesn't support any Alaskan Native or NHPI languages. Tell @UScensusbureau to add support for Chamorro, Chuukese, Marshallese, Samoan, Tongan and Hawaiian!
Preparations for the 2020 Census are happening NOW, but Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities will get left behind if we don’t have the language support we need. Let’s urge the @uscensusbureau to boost its language program. #2020Census

Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders have some of the highest levels of limited-English proficiency. It's critical the @uscensusbureau has the best language support program in place so our communities are fully counted. #2020Census @CAPAC @cpc_nyc
In 15 minutes we're joining the @AAAJ_AAJC twitterstorm to emphatically tell the @uscensusbureau that we need a robust Language Support Program for the #2020Census. Follow along with #2020Census #CompleteCount #AAPI2020.
We're there. Join the conversation tomorrow at 1:00pm CST when we tell the @uscensusbureau how important it is to have an accurate count for the #2020Census.
Heads up! We're holding a Twitterstorm Tuesday 12/18 2pm ET to tell @USCensusBureau that our communities need an accurate #2020Census, and that includes improved language access. Join us! #CompleteCount #AAPI2020
