Great to have welcomed back @silvispacexyz to the School of Forestry. Dr. Grant Pearse from @scion_research provided a lecture and hands on lab on #deeplearning for forestry to our 3rd year students.

Dr. Steve Pawson contributed to this paper in Nature. He and his co-authors found that the net effect of insects may account for 29% of the carbon flux from deadwood. Insects are functionally important in the decomposition of deadwood and the carbon cycle.
