Should have stuck with Saab. The Gripen-E won the first Swiss fighter contest, but that order was cancelled after a pacifist backed referendum went 53.4% against. The Swiss government then blocked Saab from competing in the follow up contest awarded to the F35.

The CEO says he bought Stelco because he could no longer afford to have it competing with his American operations. How does that square with supporting Section 232 tariffs on Canadian steel and the commitments made to Canada when the deal was approved?
Buying a Canadian competitor, then supporting tariffs that restrict its access to the U.S. market, raises serious questions about the original intent. Was the plan to invest in Stelco and grow its operations, or protect American operations by sidelining Canadian competition?
Canadian workers deserve more than assurances. They deserve transparency about the commitments made, evidence they are being honoured, and accountability if they are not.
