If you look forward to tax season because you get a refund then you need to take a long hard look at your career.
How do you handle last minute asks at work?

Advocate for yourself.
Making too little can stunt any opportunity for financial independence.
Always ask for more, and provide supporting reasons.
My base pay is $145k per year with 4 years of experience. Some days I feel incredibly lucky. Others I feel totally ripped off.

My real estate strategy: Rent units to medical residents.
- high quality renters, very low maintenance
- multi-year contracts
- units are affordable, yet attractive and in good locations

- Get risky on a few stocks
- Convince my wife to work again lol
