My mother owns a small ministry where people gather every Sunday evening to pray. One Sunday, I visited our family house, and when it was time for the ministration, my mum was having a running stomach and couldn't come out on time. She asked me to go and take the Word charge to keep everyone engaged until she was ready. Those were the days I fasted four times a week, never missed midnight prayers, and my spiritual life was literally on fire. My altar was burning. I started by leading worship. Before I knew what was happening, the Holy Ghost took over the atmosphere. I didn't even get to the Word charge. It was deep worship, prophetic utterances and an unusual manifestation of God's power. Everyone, both young and old, was already falling under the anointing. I remember a woman asking, “is this not the small Amaka of yesterday? What has she turned into?” I was happy. I feel fulfilled. Kai! Everywhere erupted. The power of God was massive. People were on the floor crying, groaning, praying and speaking in tongues. By the time my mum finally came out, everyone was already on the floor. And she asked, what is going on, Amaka what have done?... For over an hour, nobody could get up. When everyone eventually regained consciousness, my mum simply shared the Grace and closed the meeting. Later, she told me something that still gives me goosebumps. She said God told her that He was going to do something in her ministry that He had never done before that day. She had no idea I was the vessel God was going to use. Kai! Where is that hunger? Where is that fire? Where is the girl who couldn't go a day without seeking God's face? I miss those days. I miss that version of me. The hunger is gone, and it breaks my heart. 💔😭
