This month's featured developer is @tdubbdoteth, founder of Reptilian and a developer experience engineer at @AntithesisHQ, where he works on the NixOS-based platform team behind a simulation platform that tests the guarantees of some of the hardest distributed systems around, for the likes of Jane Street and Ethereum. They tested the Merge.
Before crypto he spent three years leading infrastructure and reliability on Prefect, work he describes as having contributed to curing rare genetic childhood diseases and to winning the World Series for his city, by building a workflow system that levelled up data scientists everywhere. He came into web3 as founding engineer at Orb Labs, and now splits his time between chain abstraction, the open-source property-based testing project Hegel, and Reptilian's partnership with Foundation, which helps token launchers run long-term liquidity strategies across chains.
What makes @DLMMonSOL's approach to liquidity different from just locking it?
He broke down the thesis below:
spreading liquidity extremely wide across price bins from the start avoids creating excessive supply overhang at any single price point, unlike concentrating a large chunk between zero and a low market cap.
The proof point is his own liquidity which seeded with $5,000 initially, worth roughly $200K by just over $1M market cap, locked, but earning yield the entire time. The bigger idea is founders owning a meaningful chunk of their own liquidity, earning yield off it alongside whatever revenue the project generates, rather than simply locking liquidity with no additional upside
"I personally would rather invest in a project that has that core value behind them and extra revenue generation than someone who might just simply have locked liquidity."

Highlights include:
00:47 – DLMM background
02:53 – The Foundation thesis: founders don't want to give up custody of their tokens, but traditional market-maker deals require it
04:05 – Capital inefficiency of bonding-curve launches (cites Ansem/BlackBull as the example)
08:20 – How Foundation mechanically works: wallet sign-in → launch through Pumpfun as normal → auto-pairs liquidity with Meteora
11:04 – The @blknoiz06 case study: modeling what 65% supply into liquidity vs. into @blknoiz06 hands would've added in AMM liquidity
14:11 – The risk-engine question: how DLMM prevents market makers from wrecking a token
16:50 – StakePoint case study: $1,500 seed → 100%+ fee yield, AMM position grew to ~$10K
18:57 – CTA for founders wanting to try Foundation
20:06 – Meteora bins vs. Robinhood/Uniswap-style liquidity provision ->how they differ
21:00 – Block AMM: DLMM's own permissionless launchpad/DEX/liquidity book on Robinhood chain
33:00 – DLMM positioned as the permanent core treasury/token behind all incubated projects
