Lakesha Womack unseated Tim Moore in #NC14.
"If convicted, Womack would not automatically be disqualified from serving in Congress, but her participation could be limited."
The charge is a class H felony that carries a sentence of 4 months to three years in jail.

I have been through several tsunami elections.
The first job for the losing side is to stop and think. The instinct will be to run around and expend energy just to be doing something, but that is not the right strategy. Something big went wrong. Republicans must figure out what it was and how to fix it.
I am outlining this lesson from personal experience.

As President Reagan has said: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”
Ronald Reagan believed every generation has a responsibility to protect the freedoms and opportunities they inherit and to pass them on to the next. 🇺🇸

We have the vote-type breakdown for provisionals in SD-24. 676 (81.6%) of the 828 were cast on election day, 152 (18.4%) were cast during early voting.
Sen. Britt (R) won 61.6% of the election day vote. If these votes break roughly in line with that, then it likely will be a decided race. Hamm (D) needs these ballots to break heavily in her favor to hope for a win. #ncpol
Seems like a good week to finally start reading @chriscooperwcu's book. #ncpol
I'm home after a long day of driving all over Brunswick County. Even though I wasn't on this year's ballot, I made at least a cursory visit to every polling place in #brunsco today. At some, I spoke with volunteers and voters. At others, there was no one to talk to when I was there. Additionally, there are four polling places in Brunswick County that do not allow electioneering.
At one of the polling places, the volunteers from one party went out of their way to tell me how nice and helpful the volunteer from the other party was. That's all too rare in this political climate.
Thank you to everyone who put their name on the ballot. The voters have had their say, and now we wait for the results. #ncpol #ncgop
