Finally! 😅
Well worth a go this football fans. It's incredibly addictive mind you...

Mark has cost me my evening...
(Definitely give this a go btw)
I built a game for @FourFourTwo – all you have to do is select an XI that has scored 442 goals in Premier League history.
Lot of work went into this: should you keep you occupied for the long international break (or at the very least, your lunch break)

A real mixed bag last night on the whole.
A big plus though has to be one of the most confident debuts I can remember from any youth product in Joe Mwaro.
It's important he's not rushed and pressure doesn't mount but he should be over the moon with that debut.

Definitely nailed the dull part!
I usually don't care too much for the 'performance' as long as the result is okay, and 1-1 away at Wycombe is okay. This season's style is something else though.
Please can we drop the 4-4-2, long ball, set piece reliant system already?
#pafc
Based on Cleverley's comments and judging by the line up it looks like the 4-4-2 remains in place.
I'm not convinced by it, but Hazard struggles with crosses so I'm confident we can get something from this.
A dull 1 - 0 Argyle win.

My FPL Game Week 1 team is locked in! Planning to Bench Boost on GW2 and Wildcard after the international break.
As the admin of a Mini League I'm just glad there's only a few hours of chasing entry fees left though 🤣

There's a lot of revisionism going on RE: Wiredu. He's fine. He's not a huge loss though.
Given squad size limits and salary caps, that we're right at the limit of, his place would be better used elsewhere.
And no, I'm not keen on that someone being Dale...

We can talk about players and transfers, but that result is on Cleverley for me. The system was wrong and when it was proved wrong, by multiple goals, nothing changed.
I appreciate teams have set plans but when it's going wrong in front of you, you have to change things.

I'm glad Tom Cleverley opted for this in the 65th minute at 3-0 down having made two like for like substitutions first...

Stockport County playing through the lines of the 4-4-2 like they're not even there. There's a reason teams rarely use it anymore.
Sacrifice a striker for Ibrahim so we can take control of the ball. Can see us conceding again at this rate.
#pafc
Only saving grace at half time has been Cooper, which seems odd to say when a keeper has conceded twice.
It's great to have a proactive keeper back in goal. Someone who tries to take control of situations, rather than waiting for the proverbial to hit the fan.

Not seen the FF yet but comments on the Tolaj sale and Baidoo are baffling at best. How did they expect that to land?
Fans often don't appreciate how complex (and dire) football club finances are but PR own goals time and time again don't help.
Our comms must improve.

Last night wasn't perfect, but a banana skin avoided.
More signs that we'll be solid and functional albeit somewhat limited in attack. If that earns us Play Offs (and I think it will) there won't be many complaints. It might just be a little dull at times.

Pretty happy with my #FPL as things stands.
Currently planning on using Bench Boost in GW2 with an eye on the Wild Card after the first extended international break.
If Konsa moves to Arsenal, he's coming in for Ajer.
Our overall squad looks stronger than last year albeit without the peak of LT. We look more solid so I suspect we concede less. We'll probably focus on crosses and set plays though which the best teams can defend.
At the moment I'm predicting Play Offs. What about others?

Also, how much should fans read into a number?
Tolaj signed rather late into the window last season. Do we think this is business done for strikers or will the club act on other opportunities should they become available?

Can understand some reservations here as Tolaj leaves a big gap but TC & DA seem very happy with this. They've worked the market well together so far and the attacking unit certainly needed experience.
Would like to see a marquee signing but not just for the sake of it.

Lots to be happy with yesterday. I can appreciate the pragmatism and solidity of this team and style but do worry where the goals may come from.
We need a striker, to keep developing Pepple and perhaps a Plan B that allows for a bit more freedom.
Positive signs though.

Tom Cleverley thought all that was missing from Argyle's performance in the 0-0 pre-season draw with Bristol City was they could not turn their scoring chances into goals.

That's a very good first half of football. Disappointing to see Baidoo going off with an injury. Hopefully it was more precautionary than anything else. Need to be a little more clinical in front of goal, but that sharpness should come with fitness. Feeling positive!
