A mix of this and more dev time for 4 could have really fun results. (since I wouldn't want to see him end up like the Kuroi World, possibly planned but eviscerated). It'd be fun in general to see a version of 4 but with an expanded Watcher cast (concept image provided).

I saw some posts sad about no Shadowside/4... so I decided to remove Jibanyan and Whisper. Classic Yokai Watch doesn't need 3 reps so greedy... so I added Natsume, and also Mika because I'm biased.
Played through an ok amount of it, and ngl the design starts feeling a bit unfair after a certain point. Atp I'm stuck with all my Demons dead, with no way left to revive them, broke, and in an area where I'm barely doing enough damage to have a good chance against enemies.
I really want to like this so it's a shame that I'll probably have to give up on it and call it quits. I can't continue to put myself through mental torment. Even though I love the story, characters, and monster designs. Maybe I'll at least read the manga at some point.
Tbh I think I've reached that stage when like, looking at material that's meant to turn me on stops being "Fuuuck I want you" and starts becoming "Fuuuck I want to be you". Like I wish I could just steal your body. Kind of like what Ginyu from DBZ does.
Just had a random thought: could you technically define Beat from Dragon Ball Heroes as a monster collector protag? His game and story features him collecting and using a colourful cast of characters to fight, most of which not being human.
While you could argue that it shouldn't count since it's not like Beat is standing there and making them fight for him, Yokai Watch 4 also lets you just have them fight alongside you rather than for you and it still counts.
Also checking out the SMT: Devil Children manga, (will fully read it when I'm done with the game) and I found her introductory chapter. Immadiate aura.
Should I continue playing Persona 5 probably before starting another SMT game? Maybe. Do I care? No. This character has too much aura to not play the game, I like her design. She's also Princess of the Demon Realm, daughter of Azazel. #Aura

Said to be the reaper of souls to many troublesome pirates who won't pay an annual subscription service just to play retro games. Notably also the creator of the 6 plumbers who wear similar clothing.
The way my eyes brightened seeing this while scrolling. I'm too easily pleased.
