4 months ago @deadpixels_club officially surpassed every single top NFT project on $ETH and $SOL in daily volume (except one). Today, @deadpixels_club surpassed them all. The pixelated ghosts are currently the #1 ranked NFT project across in 24h volume across $ETH, $SOL and Robinhood, surpassing the likes of CryptoPunks, StonkBrokers, Bored Apes, Azuki, and Pudgy Penguins. While this is a first (I believe), this @hedera native NFT project has been in the Top 5 NFT projects by daily volume three to four times now over the last year or so. One time might be a coincidence, two times might be lucky, but when the ghosts are topping the leaderboards multiples times, months apart, there might just be something more to it... We like hedera-hashgraph:native and we like the ghosts.
Yesterday, @deadpixels_club did more daily volume than Pudgy Penguins, Bored Apes, and every other NFT collection on $ETH with the exception of Crypto Punks. Today, @deadpixels_club has just crossed 550k $HBAR in daily volume ($49,000 USD), which means the #1 NFT collection on @hedera has now done more volume today than all top NFT collections on $SOL, including Mad Lads, DeGods, Claynosaurs, etc. To top it off, Dead Pixels just made a new ATH in # of holders, over 3 years since they first launched. While most NFT collections are struggling to remain relevant, @deadpixels_club is gaining more traction than ever before, leading the charge for NFT's not just on Hedera but across the entire Web 3 space. If you want to get involved, you can hop in the official Discord to see what all the buzz is about: discord.gg/deadpixels Kudos to the team @rayyamartino, @raf_deadpixels and @Will_DPGC for absolutely killing it and paving the way for $HBAR NFT's!

Slowly slowly, then all at once. The Forever Mint changed the game for digital collectibles. I have never been more bullish on @deadpixels_club Come join the discord to find out why collectors are having fun: discord.gg/deadpixels Volume to rival the $ETH blue chips but at a fraction of the price.
NFTs on Hedera have been quietly getting my attention lately. And one collection in particular stands out: Dead Pixels Ghost Club. At first glance, it just looks like another pixel collection. But the mechanics behind it are actually one of the most interesting things I’ve seen in NFTs recently. 10K fixed supply. No dilution. No new NFTs being created. Yet the mint never ends. They call it the Forever Mint. Instead of minting new supply, the protocol uses mint funds to buy Ghosts back from the secondary market and place them back into the mint pool. Meaning people can keep “opening packs” forever, just like trading cards. And honestly… That changes collector psychology more than people realize. Because one of the biggest problems with NFTs after mint is simple: The fun dies. No more discovery. No more randomness. No more excitement. Dead Pixels brought that feeling back without inflating supply. That’s smart. But what surprised me even more was the community. Someone from the ecosystem took the time to explain the entire project, the mechanics, the culture around it and the Forever Mint system. That conversation alone made me mint my first Ghost. And I finally understood why this collection became the biggest NFT community on Hedera. Now here’s the crazy part: On April 27, Dead Pixels Ghost Club reached 2.2M HBAR in daily volume. Over $ 200K in a single day. That placed it among the top daily NFT volumes alongside major ETH collections. Not bad for a chain most NFT people still barely pay attention to. Feels like most people still think NFTs only exist on Ethereum. But ecosystems like Hedera are quietly building their own collectors, culture and liquidity. Early signs usually look small. Until suddenly they don’t.

This might seem like a wet blanket but is incredibly important for NFT communities if we want to grow as a space: We need to stop focusing on and talking about floor prices, fomo, supply shock and all that jazz. Think about all the successful trading card communities. They don't spend their days talking about supply squeezes and fomo. They talk about Chase cards, upcoming drops, current metas etc. of course they keep track of price lists, but it's not a "let's all talk about how we increase these prices" culture. If we want this space to grow, and not become another bubble, the sole focus needs to be bringing in new collectors that love digital art collections. If they arrive and see a community spending the whole day talking about fomo and supply shock, they're going to think: 1. This is kinda weird. 2. This community is just excited about dumping on my head when I join. Most of them will promptly leave. NFTs are going to be massive and shock a lot of people with their growth. The communities that win in this next phase will be the ones that grow a culture of building fun around collectibles, not price and fomo.

The @deadpixels_club collection has now done more volume in the last 12 months than all its previous years since launch (2022), combined. There’s a few reasons we think volume is one of the most important metrics for NFT collections. Prices are largely determined by speculation and market sentiment which are fickle. So we don’t focus on price and let the market sort that out. On the other hand, volume measures interest and activity, which can be earned in any environment. High levels of interest and activity make an otherwise illiquid collectors item liquid. To us, this is crucial because we want to onboard more people who enjoy collectibles. While everyone wants their collection to appreciate in value, collectors tend to care more about whether or not there’s an active community to buy, sell, and trade with. This is promising for the Hedera NFT ecosystem which is seeing increasing volume across the board over the last year. This isn’t to suggest we’re naive. We know web3 and NFTs have been dominated by speculation. But speculation isn’t a sustainable growth model, and we think the NFT collections that will last will be the ones that focus on the experience collectors are looking for. We think we have a lot of that in store 👻

Feels like a good time to say this. We think this is going to be a big year for @deadpixels_club. In fact, we think the next few years are going to be the best we've had, yet. But what I hope to get across is this: What we're trying to build is a lovable art collection that attracts a community of collectors and lasts for a very long time. We're not aiming to be a vehicle for financial freedom that will retire your bloodline. When that becomes the focus, an art collection has lost its way, people over-extend themselves, and it stops being fun. If you like the project, buy what you like and what you're happy to spend on digital art. While we can't promise the moon stuff, what we can promise you is that our focus will be working to make DPGC one of the best destinations for collectors, not just in Web3, but anywhere. Growing a larger and larger community of people who truly enjoy what is fun about collectibles is the goal. If that sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, we'd love to have you: discord.gg/DeadPixels

༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Today we’re announcing our $GIB Growth Reserve. Through a partnership with @gib_plz, over a period of time we have been able to acquire 150+ Million GIB (15% of total supply) with plans to continue acquiring GIB in the coming years. This is being done through funds supplied by both projects + outside investment. As a part of this agreement, it is contractually stipulated that this supply will be permanently held and never sold back to the market. As this ecosystem expands and the value of GIB grows, we will deploy this supply for staking or liquidity on Hedera DeFi platforms to earn rewards. This will act as a permanent additional revenue stream for DPGC that will be used to buy additional Ghost supply for our Forever Mint pool. We believe the Hedera ecosystem has a bright future, and these acquisitions ensure Dead Pixels Ghost Club is positioned to benefit from that growth for a long time to come. We think symbiotic relationships like these will strengthen both the DeFi and NFT ecosystems on Hedera. Why GIB: GIB quickly became the leading memecoin on Hedera. We’re biased, but we believe brands and characters that are cute, clean, and endearing have high ceilings, so GIB’s growth potential is appealing. We also have a relationship with the team and are able to closely watch the way they work, so we’re confident in their ability to build a successful brand. A central part of our strategy is making DPGC sustainable so that we can create a brand that will be here for decades. A crucial part of that means ensuring the project has strong, diversified revenue streams. Having a stake in GIB’s potential means DPGC directly benefits from its growth for years to come. Ghosts are eternal and gib is big.
