A tremendous first meeting of the close season last night at Chesterfield Cricket Lovers' Society.
Five new members joined and there was a full house to hear Peter Willey talk about his 49 years as a cricketer and umpire - and more.
Very much on the front foot, he was informative, entertaining, forthright and amusing...and he smiled for the photograph!

Huge thanks to @EssexCricket CEO Dan Feist for showing me around the Essex Cricket Museum at Chelmsford yesterday (and for the book!).
It also gave me a chance to see, for the first time, the bat with which Percy Perrin scored 343 for Essex at Chesterfield in 1904, a game Essex lost to @DerbyshireCCC
Thanks again
