Today @InsideNatGeo Emerging Explorer Ken Banks of @kiwanja and @getyoti opens up about the unlikely beginnings of @FrontlineSMS. Ken built the first version over 5 weeks while unemployed. A few years later, it was in use by organisations in most of the countries in the world.

Totally - it is an issue of just about every single public service, humanitarian intervention, or equity focused digital initiative I've ever encountered.
It's the gap we professionally fill @FrontlineSMS - and you'd be amazed at how hard it is to get any attention on this.
