Putting Tesla's Full Self-Driving into 'Mad Max' mode during a chaotic lunch hour rush. From navigating aggressive lane changes and heavy congestion to reacting instantly to road debris, the system remains impressively sharp under pressure.
Testing Tesla's Full Self-Driving in 'Mad Max' mode. From aggressive lane changes to handling unexpected swerves and heavy traffic, the car makes some incredible decisions. Is the software ready to outpace human drivers in real-world chaos?
Tesla confirmed: FSD take rate of 75% does NOT include free 1 month
Even though 1 month comes included; customers are still electing to subscribe on day 1!
Replying to @SawyerMerritt
Just to confirm, this is in addition/not including the 1 month free FSD with purchases?

Tesla says they are trying to deliver Cybercabs to real customers by the end of this year.

Testing Tesla's 'Mad Max' mode in real-world traffic reveals a mix of impressive navigation and notable lapses. From handling complex intersections to making questionable turns on red, it's a look at how autonomous tech performs under pressure

Las Vegas just went from about 10 Cybercabs to 22 in three days.
That's the count at Tesla's Robotaxi lot tonight, parked behind rows of Model Ys. And for the first time, the gate out front is closed.
Tesla's Nevada permit gives it a Nov 24 to Dec 18 window to start rides. Earnings are Wednesday.
Something is getting staged. Great spot by Diego Suarez.
Robotaxi lot update here in Las Vegas 10/19/26
Cybercabs are being boxed in by Model Ys on the west end and east end of the lot. The gate is now closed at the entrance to the lot, this is the first time I’ve seen this before.
Small lineup of Model 3s as well behind another row of Cybercabs in the middle of the lot.
Seems like they are being staged up for something, I wonder what it’s for?
Earnings is in two days…🤔
Total count that I could see:
Model Y ~ 20 units
Cybercab ~ 22 units
A Cybercab just showed up at Austin's airport.
Gold, sleek, and parked in a lot at Austin-Bergstrom this afternoon.
Airport runs are the ride Austin visitors keep asking Robotaxi for. Is Tesla getting ready to make it happen?
Great spot by Mathis.
Two days to Tesla's Q3 call, and retail investors have spoken.
The No. 1 question, backed by 847.5K shares: how does Cybercab scale past Austin?
Right behind it: unsupervised FSD in customer cars, then when you can buy your own Cybercab. Optimus shows up twice in the top 7.
Wednesday, 5:30 PM ET. Great roundup by Sawyer.
Here are the top 7 voted for questions by retail investors for @Tesla's Q3 earnings call this Wednesday:
1) How does the Cybercab fleet scale past Austin, and what’s the regulatory path outside Texas given NHTSA’s open safety review?
2) When can we anticipate FSD unsupervised in customer cars?
3) When will the CyberCab be available for customer purchase/ownership?
4) What’s the unit economics per paid robotaxi mile, and how does it compare to the thirty-cent target?
5) What’s the cost per Optimus unit, and what does the first paying customer look like?
6) When do you anticipate Optimus will begin generating revenue?
7) Tesla has acknowledged that HW3 vehicles cannot support unsupervised FSD. When will owners know whether they can upgrade their hardware for free, and when will Tesla provide a clear plan?
No steering wheel. No driver. Two close calls dodged.
Dan Burkland just posted his first Cybercab ride through downtown Austin, and FSD Unsupervised avoided not one but two potential collisions.
His verdict: the whole trip felt like a non-event.
That's exactly what a robotaxi ride should feel like. Great video, Dan.

Join me for my very first ride in Tesla's Cybercab through downtown Austin, TX. From busy crosswalks to dodging not one but two potential collisions, FSD Unsupervised made the whole trip feel like a non-event.

Getting into Tesla's shareholder meeting now takes a lottery win.
Seats at Giga Texas for the Dec 3 meeting are limited, so Tesla is picking in-person attendees by random drawing. Entries close Nov 6, and Tesla expects to start notifying picks the week of Nov 16.
Not picked? The livestream is open to everyone.
Cybercab is built in that same building. Should be quite a show.
Told Grok to redesign the Model S for a triumphant return.
Inspired by the new Tesla Roadster. This was the result.
Holy fuc..
Nearly 1 million people have now seen one car question.
Gina asked car people to help her pick a new ride: about $60K, up to $80K for something she really loves. 1,900+ replies later, she says this crowd has her leaning Tesla, and the Model Y L sounds promising.
Tesla owners showed up. Go test drive, Gina.
Car people, I need your help.
I’m buying a new car. Budget around $60K, willing to stretch to $80K for something I really love.
I prefer a fully loaded good car over an entry-level luxury car.
Current garage: 2010 BMW M3 (never selling it) and my third Subaru Outback (son is inheriting it). So no trade-in.
Leaning electric, possibly Tesla. I want power, safety, comfort, great range, and never having to stop for gas again.
I’ll be driving SF to Santa Barbara regularly when my son starts college next year.
What should I be looking at?
Tesla put this Optimus image in today's shareholder letter, with a message from Elon:
"The most likely outcome is an age of Amazing Abundance, where anyone can have anything they can think of."
The old Model S and X lines at Fremont are being rebuilt for Optimus, and Elon says that first line is built for 1 million robots a year.
Cars got Tesla here. Robots are what's next.
I repeat: You are not impressing anyone with your $1,000/mo. "new" car that is outdated.
If you can't afford it, don't. buy. it.
Buy a Tesla, get more for your money and lower maintenance. It's not hard!
BREAKING: A record 21.2% of new-car buyers now pay $1,000 or more a month, up from 19.1% a year ago, per CNBC
69% of them took loans of six years or longer to make it work.
Testing Tesla's 'Mad Max' mode in downtown rush hour traffic. From aggressive lane changes to narrow merges, the car navigates high-stress scenarios without human intervention. Is this cutting-edge precision or pure chaos? Seen this happen?
A Cybercab just rolled up to a supermarket parking lot outside Buffalo, New York.
No steering wheel. No pedals. Roughly 1,500 miles from Austin.
Spotted testing in Amherst, not far from Giga New York. Buffalo winters are the toughest exam a robotaxi can take, and Tesla is walking right into it.
Great spot by Robotaxi Radar.
