Sam Matterface is everything wrong with football broadcasting. Smug, arrogant and entitled with absolutely zero substance. Commentary is utterly horrendous and also moonlights as a 'pundit'. Then there's the rampant Chelsea bias...

Pierre Sage is under no illusions that things aren’t working for him at Crystal Palace currently.
He admits he’s adapting to the Premier League but believes with time they can achieve his ‘model’.
I asked him if he when he took the job at Palace, if he believed the club would stick with him during tough times.
Sage 🗣️
“When we chose to work together, we took this decision because we think it can fit, or match, and for the moment it’s not the case.
“But there are some things that can help us to have hope.
“In my job, I always say that to have opportunities you need to be an opportunity.
“And my way of working is maybe different, I maybe have to adapt to this league, but I will keep the way I decided from the beginning with little adaptations, and I’m sure at the end it will be okay.
“Because I consider football and the play of the team as a model. Sometimes you are far from the model, sometimes you are close to the model. And we just have to work on how close we are to the model, to be closer and closer. And maybe when we are in line with the model, we can improve.
“And to go back to your second question [on being given time], I think people around me understand this.”

Personally I think he goes stronger. Carney, Tete, Muniz will be the only changes

Fleetwood and Bradford through to the quarter finals. Wonder if some managers involved in tomorrow’s matches might now smell an opportunity and play close to full strength sides.

🆕 Dean Henderson is set to start against Fulham, Pierre Sage has said. The Palace captain has been sidelined with an ankle injury since Crystal Palace’s 3-2 Premier League win at Fulham in September.
“We will see on Wednesday about Jorgen Strand Larsen. His ankle twisted. For Ismaila Sarr, it’s difficult because his groin makes him struggle.
“He was able to play 15/30 minutes, we tried to push more in Lyon, where he played 60, but it’s really difficult for him.
“In his performances, he’s run less – especially fewer high-speed runs. He needed treatment to give 100 per cent to help the team. I think Dean Henderson will play on Wednesday.”
Note: Pierre Sage’s pre-Fulham press conference took place directly after Palace’s Premier League defeat to Newcastle on Sunday.

It’s extremely obvious what player these rumours are coming from btw. #FFC
Alvaro Arbeloa may only have 'another week’ at Fulham because 'the dressing room isn’t happy' 😡
