In the midst of dancing & dressing like my miracle for this Hallelujah Challenge 19th Oct, i saw a congratulatory mail, sent late last night from a program i had given up on!
Past Nath declared it and i received it!
This God is too good! 😫🙌🏾
#HalleluyahChallengeTestimony
And if you are pregnant or wanting to have a child, I wish you nothing short of a smooth pregnancy, a safe labor and delivery.
May your Joy never be cut short and May the cries of a healthy baby and the happiness of a new mom not be far from you 🥰
Those who are reading not just to argue, would understand my posts on this discourse is really on the fence.
I can understand WHY a woman would say Pregnancy is a death sentence whether it was literal or hyperbole and I also understand WHY others are countering this narrative.
You people say those who are not mothers should not talk, so those who are mothers should also not talk?
Or we should only speak if we are saying what you want to hear?
'And she is a mother', Stanley, you wan use my motherhood shame me? Because how?
Replying to @Iyamulema @FundohMercy
And she is a mother, please let her tell us how she escaped the death sentence. Do these people even know the meaning of the words they randomly use? If it was a death sentence, how many of us would have been here today?
You see a loser, you still go put mouth for their matter
You see a waste but you still pour your time and energy into it
You see me embarrassing myself but you still danced to the beat of my drum.
You definitely need that luck you are offering.
I hope you get some help soon
Replying to @FundohMercy
What loosers say when they realize their plans ain't working. Who wants to correct you? What waste. Looks like some of you enjoy embarrassing yourself in here. Good luck with that.
And if according to you, I didn't listen to the corrections of others, WHY WOULD I LISTEN TO YOU?!
Do you have my nudes?🤣
Do you think you are the special one called to correct me out of all others?! Please! 😭
Ma'am, enjoy thinking about me for the rest of your day.
Replying to @FundohMercy
Cuz your tweets are popping up and when someone tries to correct you, u always have an argument to counter it . You should know that's how X works but you've decided to cloud ur mind with emotions and tell us that pregnancy is a death sentence.
Madam, the only place i am hiding apparently, is in your thoughts, your dreams perhaps, your subconscious. I'm just gallivanting and feeling free in there because why would i be among your first thoughts in the morning.
LMAO!
I have loosened the shackles, Free yourself please!
Replying to @FundohMercy
You have not outrightly said it but you support that statement in all your recent tweets. So please stop trying to hide
Iya,If you can point me to where i said pregnancy is a death sentence, that would be very very helpful.
Take your time, scroll,do a deep dive, and come with your evidence.
Then kindly go ahead to unfollow and block me so i can stop living rent free in your head.
Thank you
Doc @FundohMercy have you guys ever thought of the fact that there are pregnant women and aspiring pregnant women who read these things and it plays on their psychology? Pls, pregnancy is not a death sentence, yes it is highly risky but not a death sentence.
Dude Nurse(lmao) where exactly did i justify whatever you said i justified?
Medical statistics,no matter how negligible, translate to real lives, real people. That was my point.
If you don't understand that simple concept, I'm sorry for you and your nursing career. Bye!
And to all who have lost a loved one due to pregnancy & it's complications.
You've been seeing all these takes on the TL and you're thinking about your wife, sister, mother, friend, aunt who lost their life while trying to bring life,I pray God comforts you all over again 🫂
I survived pregnancy, it was not a death sentence for me because i survived.I am alive, here.
Many other women didn't survive. They died either during the pregnancy, delivery or post-partum, it was a death sentence for them.
If you cannot understand this simple statement...sorry🙏🏾
Same goes for any medical condition. A patient’s personal perspective and experience with a medical condition cannot be overlooked or ignored based on your clinical knowledge and experience of managing said condition over the years.

I appreciate your insights, Nash, but I think you’re getting some things wrong.
Firstly, I did not mean that maternal mortality is 50/50. I said so to reiterate the fact that a seemingly healthy pregnancy can take a turn for the worse during labour, which is very true.
The fact that pregnancy is a natural process does not take away from the nuances of the situation or the reality that things can go wrong, making it life-threatening and even life-altering.
Your assertion that maternal mortality has little to do with pregnancy itself is not entirely true. There are life-threatening complications that can arise specifically during pregnancy, such as pre-eclampsia, eclampsia and pregnancy-related cardiac complications. Pre-existing health conditions are not the only risk factors because an otherwise healthy woman can develop these complications during pregnancy.
Your argument also creates an unfair impression that women are responsible for the complications they develop during pregnancy. While we can all agree that there are unsafe practices during pregnancy, we cannot place the burden of responsibility on women alone without acknowledging that pregnancy comes with its own complications.
You’re also overlooking the difference between emergency obstetric care and antenatal care. Attending all ANC appointments has never been a guarantee that a pregnancy or delivery will be free of complications. For example, postpartum haemorrhage can occur even in women who have adhered to every medical recommendation.
I am NOT in any way trying to instil fear in women. I simply discussed what I was taught with another healthcare provider. Besides, these are things we teach women during ANC. Our aim is to equip women with sufficient knowledge about pregnancy so they can make informed decisions and have access to quality healthcare.
It is not 50/50 Maya .. The disparity between successful births and the complicated ones with extremes as death .. is so so so wide ..
Pregnancy is a natural process of procreation that has existed from the beginning of creation..
The complications associated with pregnancy have a lot to do with pre existing health issues, lack of proper healthcare services and properly trained medical personnels to ensure safe deliveries, Neglect of safe practices on the part of the pregnant woman or her immediate surroundings during pregnancy, late conception, Lack of knowledge amongst other things.. And little to do with the Pregnancy itself..
I know it’s trendy to side with women nowadays, as people fear the stupid misogyny tag .. but let’s separate the facts from emotions and trends ..
All you people are doing with this thing is, instilling fear in the hearts of women, as opposed to teaching them the safety processes and overall importance of healthy living prior, during and post pregnancy.. Let’s do better please
Those statistics are very sweet to quote until when it happens to you/ yours.
When you, your wife, mother or sister becomes that 1% then it will no longer just be 1%.
When you ask why should every woman give birth ok and mine dies and you have no answer, you'll understand better

Come to think of it, all these takes are just because some people have lost touch with figures of speech. That is why conversations get so tiring and bland, then people start throwing hands.
“I’m willing to die on this hill” no mean say I wan die.
“Pregnancy is a death sentence” no mean say you’ve been sentenced and you’ll die.
I mean, you might get amnesty 😅 (that is to say, if you’re lucky enough not to have complications, you won’t lose your life and you’ll come out alive). Personally, if I hear that, I’ll take it to be a light joke to mean, it is very, very risky and I might lose my life. It doesn’t mean, I will lose my life. It just further explains the pain people go through, and if a woman says that she felt that way, I can only imagine how childbirth must have been for her. The labor, the lifestyle adjustment, the appetite, every single thing she experienced. I will not invalidate her experience.
Again, if people weren’t having bland conversations and building agendas. You’d see clearly that it was a hyperbole and y’all wouldn’t have had to dissect it and through hands.
You see this ,"pregnancy is a death sentence" convo, If you haven't seen a woman who has always been healthy, had a healthy pregnancy, and still dies during labor, delivery or post partum, then you won't understand the depth of this discourse.
May God sustain all pregnant women
I just thank God say at the end of the day, the day go end because what?!
😭😭😭
I just like how she is taking all the comments with humour 😂
