This is why this sport is no longer sport. It’s just entertainment. Long gone are the days where people want to watch the best vs the best. No other sport is like this. Winning is winning. Somehow only in MMA, winning gets heavily frown soon if it’s not up to masses standards. Wild.

Imagine winning a fight, that the judges say you lost. Dana comes and says he’ll make it right. Then you have to fight 3 more times and still no title shot lol. Wild. This isn’t sport. It’s about entertainment. The times have changed.

Please, elaborate. Which part is silly? Is it silly that everything in RD 3 from Merab is erased for the body kick moment at :45sec mark? Is it silly to think hitting someone repeatedly does “damage” compared to one big shot that doesn’t even put you down? Friends or not, these are valid arguments. But explain
A reasonable take. We assumed 2-2 going into the 5th RD because we were unsure how RD 3 would be scored literally because of the kick and 45 seconds left on the clock compared to 4min Merab was winning the RD. It’s tough. I don’t disagree but it would be nice to have clarity on the criteria. Just saying “damage” wins is so vague
