🇵🇸 Two baby girls, 4-month-old Habiba Zannoun and 7-month-old Esel Abu Suhaiban, died when a fire broke out in a tent sheltering displaced families in al-Mawasi, the coastal displacement zone in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, according to Palestinian journalist Hani al-Shaer, who filmed the aftermath.
Displacement tents lack even basic safety protections, and Israel's continued restrictions on fuel and cooking gas have forced families to rely on primitive and dangerous methods to heat their shelters and cook, al-Shaer reported.
Israel has kept mobile homes out of Gaza throughout the war, now in its fourth year, and is still blocking them, along with new tents, 13 months into the ceasefire, said Mohammed Abu Afash, director of Gaza's Medical Relief Society. Egypt sent mobile homes to the Rafah crossing in February 2025, but Israel refused to let them in. About half of Gaza's tents and shelters are in "bad or very bad condition," and winter shelter supplies cover just 17% of the needs of the roughly 2 million people who need shelter, the UN's migration agency said this month.

A kindergarten bombed. We repeat, a kindergarten was bombed in Gaza. Yesterday, on October 30th, the Saftawi area in Western Gaza City, the military occupation bombed a school building. This also impacted many Palestinians tents and homes.

Activists confronted former German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock at Sweden’s Uppsala University on Monday, accusing her of complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Baerbock was delivering the Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture, jointly hosted by the university and the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. Protesters challenged her remarks defending attacks on civilian infrastructure and Germany’s military support for Israel.
In October 2024, Baerbock argued that civilian sites could lose their protected status if abused by Hamas. Germany approved €485.1m—about $554m—in arms exports to Israel between October 2023, and May 2025.

An Israeli actress was being interviewed but thought they were on commercial break so she started telling the truth about Israel only to find out afterwards they were live on air:

Yesterday, I received a security notification from Apple warning me that my iPhone had been targeted by a sophisticated mercenary spyware attack, involving technology of the kind developed by companies such as NSO Group, the Israeli firm behind the notorious Pegasus spyware.
Perhaps the most alarming aspect of Apple’s warning was its confirmation that such attacks target specific individuals “because of who you are or what you do.”
This is not the first time I have been targeted by spyware. I was previously targeted with Pegasus in both 2017 and 2021.
I do not yet know who is behind this latest attack, or whether it is connected to my investigative documentary, The Trap, which I directed and co-produced. The film, available on Al Jazeera 360, exposed the details of the September 2024 pager explosions in Lebanon.
What is certain, however, is that the targeting of journalists with sophisticated spyware poses a grave threat to press freedom, the confidentiality of journalistic sources, and the very foundations of independent investigative journalism.
