On the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken from us and honor the first responders and countless Americans whose courage and selflessness defined that tragic day.

Dolly Parton, her exceptional talent and voice, and the kindness she demonstrated throughout her life and career are American treasures. As a daughter of a neighboring state, her loss is felt all the more in the South where she was so deeply loved. Her impact on this Earth reached far beyond the music industry, and her life and legacy will continue to be celebrated for generations to come.
She will be greatly missed, and the prayers of our family are with her loved ones and the entire State of Tennessee that proudly calls her their own.

Marty and I are on the ground today with first responders and state officials in the fight against the South Georgia wildfires. Yet again, we’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support that Georgians have shown for their neighbors. The Georgia Forestry Foundation is helping with those incredible efforts that demonstrate the very fabric of our state.

Glad to see that at long last, justice has been secured for Tara Baker, for her incredibly brave family and friends who have endured decades of suffering, and for the UGA community that Tara loved. May her memory continue to inspire and strengthen other families searching for hope.

Incredible work by the @GBI_GA Cold Case Unit and all our partners on this case.
Last year, I signed the Coleman-Baker Act so that we can bring closure and justice, far too long deferred, to families like this. May Tara’s memory live on through the good work of this Unit.
