It’s this time of the year. Rainy, muddy, cold and dark. Fall is here, so we’ve officially prepared blankets and a cup of tea. 🥶🍂 Even the manliest, scariest, strongest big gamers want some cozyiness from time to time, so here u go! Our propositions for good little games to play on those gloomy afternoons. 🚣 Spiritfarer: you run a boat for spirits on their way out of this world. Cook for them, hug them, say goodbye. Keep in mind, this one is very emotional. 🌾 Stardew Valley: you quit a soul-crushing office job to take over your grandpa’s overgrown farm. Grow crops, raise chickens, befriend the whole town and poke around the mines. 📦 Unpacked: unpacking boxes in a new place. That’s it. Little, cozy puzzle game. 🏰 Disney Dreamlight Valley: your own little valley, a fishing rod and Disney characters that want to hang out with you. That’s our list. What’s yours? Tell us what you’re playing this fall, we need new ideas DESPERATELY👇

A new version of the Odyssey just dropped. To be more precise, it’s the first 7 minutes of an AI-generated movie. If it’s not the kind of Odyssey you’re into, we want to remind you that the world of video games offers many Odysseys. 🏺 Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: An action RPG that takes you to Ancient Greece. 🏭 Abe’s Oddysee and Munch’s Oddysee: Two installments in the beloved Oddworld platformer series. ☠️ One Piece Odyssey: An RPG that lets players follow Monkey D. Luffy, who’s going to be the King of the Pirates. 🥸 Super Mario Odyssey: Another exciting chapter in Mario’s everlasting rivalry with Bowser. 🔫 Elite Dangerous: Odyssey: A DLC that introduces first-person on-foot exploration. 🚀 RimWorld - Odyssey: An expansion that allows space travel. And those are only a few! None of them claim to be historically accurate, but all will let you have a great time. Or at least a better time than Odysseus on his long trip home from work. Pick your Odyssey on GAMIVO and embark on it today!

October 26 marks the anniversary of two true gaming milestones. ❤️🎮 ⚔️ In 2007, CD Projekt RED launched The Witcher, the game that introduced Geralt and the magnificent world created by Andrzej Sapkowski to gamers all around the world. It was a humble game compared to its successors. However, its success in Europe paved the way for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and, particularly, for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, one of the best RPGs ever created. 🤠 11 years later, on October 26, 2018, players got one of the best virtual adventures set in the Wild West. Or maybe one of the best virtual adventures ever. Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open-world masterpiece, with a compelling story, memorable characters, polished gameplay, and details that remain mind-blowing even today. Which of these two brilliant titles do you like more?

25 years ago, gaming changed forever. 🏙️💥 Grand Theft Auto III debuted on October 22, 2001, and laid the blueprint for the entire modern open-world genre. Claude’s silent rise through the criminal underworld set a standard that still echoes across the industry today. Without GTA III, modern sandbox gaming simply wouldn't be the same. What’s your most vivid memory from your first playthrough? Was it beating the Mafia, reaching Staunton Island, or just causing havoc with cheats on? Drop your favorite memories below! 👇🚗💨

🎮 10 years ago today, Nintendo announced the Switch. The reveal was a three-minute trailer. The console launched in March 2017 and has sold over 155 million units since then. That made it Nintendo’s best-selling console ever, ahead of the DS. 🕹️ Mario Kart 8 Deluxe alone has passed 60 million copies. The Switch 2 came out in 2025 and had already sold over 17 million units by the end of that year. Which game made you buy the first Switch? Tell us! 👇

Since everyone is talking about flying cars, it’s a great excuse to revisit video games featuring everyday vehicles that defy the laws of gravity. 🚗💨 We’ve seen memorable flying car chases in Mass Effect 2’s Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, while Jak II and Jak 3 let us take the wheel of futuristic hovercars. 🛸 However, those were only brief segments in much larger adventures. Other games built their entire premise around the concept. The trend was particularly strong after the release of The Fifth Element, as Luc Besson’s sci-fi classic made flying cars one of the coolest tropes of the era. 🚕🌆 As a result, players got Crime Cities in 2000, NYR: New York Race in 2001, and Beam Breakers in 2002. The spirit lives on in modern releases, including Mile High Taxi, which keeps the airborne rush alive. 🕹️ Did you play any of these back in the day, or do you have another favorite flying-car game?

🥖 On October 14, 1996, one of the greatest point-and-click adventure games of all time was born: Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars! 🥐🕵️‍♂️ It all started with a quiet autumn day in Paris, a café explosion, and a suspicious clown carrying an accordion... 🤡💣 Why this classic remains unforgettable: ❤️ The instant chemistry between American tourist George Stobbart and French journalist Nico Collard. 🎞️ Stunning hand-drawn artwork and animation that felt like playing an animated film. 🐐 Few puzzles in gaming history tested players' patience quite like the goat in Lochmarne. If you played it, you know! ⚔️ A gripping, globe-trotting conspiracy centered around the secrets of the Knights Templar. Share your favorite Broken Sword memories in the comments! And if you haven’t played this classic, get it on GAMIVO. The Reforged version is below €5!

Happy Birthday to Hirokazu Yasuhara, a true video game legend! 🦔💨🎮 If you grew up speeding through Green Hill Zone or exploring iconic platformers, you have this genius level designer and game designer to thank! Alongside Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima, Yasuhara was part of the original trio that created Sonic the Hedgehog in 1991, designing the core gameplay loop and level geometry. He was the mastermind behind the level design for the original Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles. His talent didn't stop at SEGA. He later brought his level design expertise to Naughty Dog, contributing to hit franchises like Jak and Daxter and Uncharted!

War. War never changes. But RPGs certainly did when the original Fallout dropped! Today marks the 29th anniversary of the very first Fallout game. To celebrate the birth of this legendary post-apocalyptic franchise, here are things you probably didn’t know about this iconic RPG: ☢️ A Different Name: The game was originally going to be called Vault 13: A GURPS Post-Nuclear Adventure. Thankfully, the team brainstormed, and Brian Fargo suggested the much catchier Fallout. ☢️ The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Origin: The game was supposed to use the tabletop GURPS system. When the license creator backed out due to the game's violent nature, the devs had only a few weeks to invent a brand-new system: S.P.E.C.I.A.L.! ☢️ Vault Boy ≠ Pip-Boy: The blonde, smiling mascot is "Vault Boy", not "Pip-Boy" (which is the device on your wrist). His design was actually inspired by the Monopoly guy! ☢️ The Solo Dev: For the first six months, creator Tim Cain worked on the game’s engine entirely by himself in his spare time before a full team was assembled. ☢️ Talk Your Way Out: Fallout was a pioneer in player choice. You can defeat the terrifying final boss, The Master, without firing a single bullet—just by presenting him with undeniable logical evidence. ☢️ The Deadly Companion: Ask any veteran about Ian. This early companion was infamous for accidentally shooting the player in the back if you gave him an SMG. It’s a classic Fallout rite of passage! ☢️ Hollywood Roots: The iconic narrator line, "War. War never changes," was written specifically with actor Ron Perlman in mind. ☢️ The Origin of Caps: Why bottle caps? Developers chose them because they are hard to counterfeit, and the technology to paint and manufacture them would be lost in the apocalypse. ☢️ A Stressful Timer: The original release featured a strict 150-day in-game timer to find the Water Chip. It stressed players out so much that developers patched the game to remove the hidden secondary timer. ☢️ Dogmeat’s Inspiration: The beloved canine companion, Dogmeat, was a direct homage to the dog in the post-apocalyptic movie Mad Max 2 and the classic sci-fi film A Boy and His Dog. Is there anything you'd add to the list?
