It was great to see a club record 27 swimmers turn out to morning training at Elswick International Aquatic Centre. It must be the Coach K factor! #TeamGAW

Coach K is back on Gateshead turf/poolside. Great to have you back, coach! #TeamGAW

Anna goes shortly in the 14/15 100m breaststroke. A great start so far by Team N&D! #TeamGAW

We’re in Sheffield today and tomorrow for the Swim England National Summer Meet. Daniel is swimming in the 50 backstroke this morning just after 10:30am. Go well big lad! #TeamGAW

Anna attacked the final extremely well, dropping 1.3 seconds from her heat swim (and best time) to finish in 4th place in a time of 1:14.02. Well done Anna - let’s see what next season brings! #TeamGAW

Anna won her heat in a new personal best time to jump up from 13th seed into 5th place. She’ll go in the final just before 17:30. You’ll need to make plenty of noise for her to hear you from Gateshead. Let’s finish strong! #TeamGAW

Anna Finlay won a fantastic 🥈 as part of N&D PP in the 14-16 years medley relay. A huge well done Anna - you are a British medallist! Take the momentum into your 100 breaststroke on Thursday. She wouldn’t let me leave without a photo, so I reluctantly agreed! #TeamGAW

Anna, swimming in Team N&D PP ‘A’, will swim in tonight’s 4x100 medley final. It was a great heat swim from the girls, winning their heat and qualifying 2nd overall. Anna’s split of 1:13.9 is over 2 seconds quicker than her flat start best. Good luck girls! #TeamGAW

Anna Finlay finished in 6th place in a new personal best time. A great achievement in her first British final with lots more to come; starting with the 4x100 medley relay tomorrow. Well done Anna - we are all proud of you. #TeamGAW

Well done to Anna Finlay for qualifying for her first national final, with an excellent heat swim in the 200 breaststroke. The final is scheduled for 18:20, so tune in to give your virtual support! #TeamGAW

A big well done to Alex McGill, who PBd for the first time in 3 years in the 100 backstroke, moving up from 24th seed to 16th place. #TeamGAW

We’re in Sheffield for the British Summer Championships. Alex goes in the 100 backstroke this morning, before Anna arrives for 200 breaststroke this afternoon. Enjoy yourselves and leave everything in the pool ladies. #TeamGAW
