Basketball world tells you to point to your chest, to put 3 fingers to the head
Basketball social media tells you that you need to SCORE to get attn, you need to SCORE to bring value
Players
I get it. It’s confusing.
If you give great effort on defense and get crossed up or dunked on because you tried to take a charge as a helpside defender….you are one moment away from being on the wrong end of a VIRAL moment, so it’s EASIER to not really try, to not give that effort bc it’s safer
Real Life > Social Media
Players,
you are more than a BUCKET
YOU can IMPACT the game by
✅being a great teammate. Saying an encouraging word to a teammate who is struggling may lead to them hitting next 2 3s…that’s worth 6 pts
✅ playing great helpside Def…closing off a driving lane 5 times that could have led to 10pts
✅making the extra pass
✅diving on the floor winning the 50/50 ball
2 weeks away from our 7th annual Basketball 🏀 Camp!!

Anyone involved in CCS athletics knows how much high school sports and all the people involved meant to Bull. It’s hard to believe we won’t be seeing him at practices and games any more, but we’ll always keep a seat open at the end of the dugout. Rest easy big fella. ❤️ 🐂
