All #schoolpsychology programs need to make their students aware of the eugenics movement, Willowbrook State School, and what it took to pass section 504. These historical pillars should be integrated into students learning, along with some others I am probably missing here.

Although it is #DisabilityPrideMonth , #psychologists and #schoolpsychologists should realize that the Supreme Court ruling legalizing the forced sterilization of people w #disabilities has never been overturned and still stands (Buck v. Bell, 1927). We must do better.
Only 2% of graduate faculty in the field of psychology indicate that they have a #disability & state & national organziations have yet to speak out against #GRE & #EPPP. If that isn't #ableism, I don't know what is. We also know the field remains overly White. We need 2 do better
