🩵 Thank You Message from Lady Allen:
“I have taken some time to read the many birthday messages shared across our social media platforms, and I am deeply touched by the love and kindness expressed.
It is truly heartwarming to know so many persons took a moment out of their day to remember me or simply share a kind word. Each message brought a smile to my face and made my birthday all the more meaningful.
To everyone who reached out, please know that your thoughtfulness means a great deal to me. I am sincerely grateful for your love, prayers and warm wishes.
From my heart to yours, thank you. May God continue to bless and keep you all.”

Her Excellency explored collections and displays showcasing the richness of African culture, including the Dunn and Makonde Collections, traditional artefacts and an impressive presentation of African textiles.
Among the highlights was the 'Kgotla', a traditional Botswana gathering space for community dialogue and decision-making, as well as the exhibition, “Curation as a Decolonial Act”, which explored the importance of preserving our African heritage.
The exhibition offered a meaningful opportunity to appreciate the depth of Africa’s culture and its enduring connections to the Caribbean.

For this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we honour the women and men facing breast cancer, remember those we have lost, and celebrate the survivors whose courage inspires us all. To those currently fighting, may you be reminded that you are more than your diagnosis and your strength is seen.
Let us continue to encourage early detection, support regular screening, and create spaces where no one has to face this journey alone. Together, let us spread awareness, share hope and stand in solidarity. 🎀

Courage in its truest form was on display at this year’s National Honours and Awards Ceremony. The Governor-General presented the Badge of Honour for Gallantry to four Jamaicans whose actions in moments of danger helped save lives. Among them were Mrs Danielle Anna-Marie Barnswell and Councillor Scean Anthony Barnswell, who helped save a six-year-old girl after she was abducted from her school in Clarendon. Their courage, along with that of Susan Annmarie Higgins and Robert Anthony Johnson, reminds us that extraordinary bravery can be found in ordinary citizens who choose to act when it matters most.
